PPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP....just kidding. Nice vans! I wondered when the "custom van" craze would come back into vogue. If it doe's this site might have to add a Van sub forum! Joseph

Re: Lets see some P's!

Don't see one like this often....!
Was down here with part of Operation Deepfreeze (Antartic) apparently. My cousin bought it for (I think) $300 and drove it home. He manages 240 acres of grapes and needed a mobile lunch room and, ah, convenience room! It has curtains in the small room so you can draw them to see where you are driving.
What a honey!

Re: Lets see some P's!

I have a set of buckets out of a '67 SportVan:

I should have bought the whole thing. It was at a P&P and I was like the first one to have a shot at the parts. Oh Well. I got the seats and this:

At least, I think it is cool. No one else has a black windshield washer res.

If I see a nice P, I'll scoop it up. Maybe even if it's not so nice. I'd love one.

Thumbs up Re: Lets see some P's!

We had a sweet 1971 (?) P3500 Shop Truck , it was fully kitted out with 350/350 , welders gas & elect. , air compressors , full workbench , on and on.... the lazy bastids that worked out of it whined *SO* much about it's lack of AC , we salvaged it

When I was a lad , I bought a one onwer 1968 108 van , he'd had the habit of " parking by braille " so the entire front was wriggly , I paid $250 for it and swapped it two weeks later for a 1964 Chevelle 700 four door sedan (the base model) , also with a 250 L6 & Slip 'N' Slide Powerglide slushbox .

I fell asleep & wrecked that about one month later , just as I'd finished cherrying it out .

Duh . stupid kid .

A The L.A.P.D. , we had a whole buncha '67 ~ '71 three door Suberbans and panels , *one* had the 292 and I wanted it but they Salvaged it whilst I was out of town so I miseed it .

P Vans are the ultimate Shop Truck IMO .

That's worse than driving by braille,eh?

Hey Cam Man,guess what I just spotted for sale in Westminster? A '70s aluminum P10!! I'm going nuts trying to figure where I can get the money to buy it. Sorry, didn't have my camera. It's had two roof vents cut in,but other than that it's in excellent condition (white,of course). No ice cream man windows in the side!!

Nice! Man, I'd love to see that, if you get some pics post 'em up. There's a P10 ice cream truck I recently spotted outside a storage facility in Fredrick...been eyeing that one up, too!

Here's a neat one on cl:

Re: Lets see some P's!

Before I discovered the 67-72 pickups I always wanted a 70's or 80's G20 van really bad, and I still do if the truth be known, but man the 60's ones look really cool, I was not familiar with them till now, I had always just focused on the later ones.
Everything you guys made back in the day was perfection for me...one way or another.

Exclamation Re : Driving By Braille

About the same , maybe worse ~ I hit a street light pole and it went in between the right headlight and that silky smooth 250 , shearing off the alternator , oil filter , distributor & starter before jamming against the firewall ~ I'm *VERY* lucky I'm alive right now .
