Ever use one of those cast aluminum oil pans?

I am working on a 1970 350 for a friend. He bought one of those fancy cast aluminum oil pans. Mr. Gasket and others have made them for years. This one is not the polished one I've seen in the past on engines, it's flat black with fins, lengthwise, just like the polished ones.
My biggest concern is performance, this vehicle won't get any wild driving, but there's no baffle in it, just has a dam or vertical wall forward of the sump about 1 inch tall with a couple of openings in it so oil can drain back into the sump.
Thanks in advance!

Just run it.. the alum fins will cool the oil. that was the point..
not for oil control.. add a windage tray hanging off the main studs/bolts.. and call it good..

Yep. Installed it on a new ZZ4 over 11,000miles ago.
