The rear hatch on my 72 Blazer is in marginal condition. Does anyone know where to locate really good used tops and rear hatches? Anyone know of company that provides replacement rear hatches?
Also I am looking for parchment steering wheel, front bucket seat covers, carpet kit and full wheel covers for 4X4.
My Blazer is suspose to have inside spare tire. The bracket is there, but not sure it is original. Can anyone give me any details on how to mount spare tire, where jack and tools go.
I just got this Blazer a couple of months ago and am lost, but having a lot of fun with it. Any help greatly appreciated.

THere's a company that makes new Hatches! Now the bad news there 400.00 if I remember right. Not sure who makes them. You might want to consider going to a fiber glass shop and having it fixed. No one makes tops just fix your top.

The jack mounts behind the drivers seat and is held by a spring that stretches across the width of the seat on the step up.

The interior spare tire carrier I have looks like a upper case A with the feet curving out at the bottom. It bolts down to the bed directly behind the rear bench seat on the drivers side.

I bought my Blazer rear hatch from Brothers' Truck Parts, of Corona, CA for about that much. It came bare and I had to get the extra latches and relay rods from a junker in SF -- since much of the OEM stuff was damaged when I thrashed my original hatch. I reused the back window, mounting it in new hatch glass rubber and hatch-to-body rubber gaskets, either from Brothers' or LMC. Also you might try a parts wanted request @: http://www.ColoradoK5.Com that's a board that's dedicated to Blazers and they have a '69-'72 First Gneration forum. Friendly and knowledgable folks. If you get lucky, a used whole top can be had for the price of the re-pop.

Blazers that did not have the rear seat option had the spare tire rack behind the drivers seat. If they had the rear seat,... it looks like the pic shows for position.

Use the pics for the purpose of buying a Blazer spare tire mount is no problem.

The only time I might get upset about people using the pidcs that are posted on this board is to mislead people that they have that item for sale.

Not that it happens here, but on ebay I watch the same pic being used for different people auctions. Make you wonder what they have for sale if its different peolple selling the same stuff. Ads can be pretty misleading on ebay. Make sure that the people selling the stuff use a pic of what they themselves are selling. Just a cautionary tale of woe.

I sometimes send people pic to ask ...is this what it look like.... then seen the pic I sent them end up in there ad... makes you wonder.

The pics I posted were not of any of my stuff.... just pics I've saved., Like I'm sure many members have.
