What do you think of these tail lights??

Am thinking about removing the chrome tail light bezel and filling the holes. Now the tail light look out of place so was thinking about adding these. I kind of like the black trim. Was thinking about the chrome trim, but I think the black trim looks sporty. dont want LED. Honestly, what do you think??

Re: What do you think of these tail lights??

You asked. Black anodized trim has no place being on one of these trucks or any vehicle of this era

I think those would look good if you are getting rid of some of the chrome, got pics to show where you're at now?

What color is the truck?

Could look ok with the right color combo. I prefer LED tail lights, keeps the elderly over here from getting too close.....

No pic. Just no chrome around the lights or tail gate.

...well since you're asking, I think you own it and can make your own decision, (if you haven't already) and most folks here will still approve eh?

After all, it is a cool 68/72 era Detroit produced truck or something like that.

Personally, from my perspective, I like the semi-chrome/aluminum look because as others have said, a little more period correct.

Either way, have fun with your toy!

...oh yea, I actually own a Stepside, so I really have no steak in this at all. HA!

Thumbs up Re: What do you think of these tail lights??

I like the way they look without the trim on mine. I used the normal ones with LED panels installed.

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Re: What do you think of these tail lights??

JUST KIDDING Sorry, couldn't help myself. But since you asked, like others have mentioned, I like these trucks stock too. If it's an all out custom, perhaps, but I don't think it would look right unless it matched an overall theme of the truck as a full on custom with other such trim changes elsewhere on the truck.

Re: What do you think of these tail lights??

would look awesome on a black or white truck. personally I would spray the chrome trim black before I dropped that kind of coin. you could even buy a can of black plasti dip and spray the chrome ones. If you don't like it, it peels right off

Re: What do you think of these tail lights??

For the cost, i think you’d be better suited to invest your money into your truck in other ways. That’s a lot for tail lights

That is what I was thinking. $240.00? You can make something yourself for a lot less that looks just as good.

Re: What do you think of these tail lights??

1. It your $$$ do what you like, $238 is way overpriced for my wallet.
2. They would only look good an a satin black truck.
3. They look like the gaskets are showing through the lens.

Re: What do you think of these tail lights??

Thank you all for your honest replies. All the replies got me thinking about other ways to do the tail lights. I just don't want LEDs...seems that's the way most people are going on these trucks.

Ya, 240 is pricey. I can use 240 in better places. I may go with stock tail lights.
