Re: Programmers

honestly, you you get a custom tune for the price of a programer these days. companies like nelsons tune, or wait4metune are mail orders. you call them, tell them what you have or what you want to do, they'll send you a new pcm, install it and send them your old one. they have free updates also if you end up doing anymore mods to the engine. best money spent there instead of the handheld programers.

Re: Programmers

I would say your best choice is an HP Tuner.

Re: Programmers

From what I have read on GMtrucks.com's forums, is that the Diablo Predator is the better hand-held. They also like a guy named Westings (I think) that does custom tunes. He does as droppedgmc says, will give you lifetime updates.

What is good about the Predator is that, if your rig is still under warranty, it saves the factory settings in the tool. If you take it in for warranty work, put the factory tune back in.

You can tweak a lot of settings, from what I understand.

I am planning on getting one for the 6.0 Sub, when I get an extra 500 bills laying around.
