What ratio Floetrol did you mix with?

1 part paint and "enough" parts Floetrol... I just eyballed it and kept mixing it in until I felt it was thin enough to spray.

.

On the GMCs with the black rear inner wheel tubs , yes. These are the GMCs that each body panel for the bed were painted separate THEN bolted together.(My red 66 was done this way) On these trucks all the bed bolts will still show their plating EXCEPT the bolts holding the wood bed strips. Most of the perimeter bolts will also show the plating. Should also note on these same GMCs the rear sill is NOT welded to the bedsides like a Chevy is. Chevrolet the beds were assembled complete with the already painted bedwood in place and covered with paper , then final paint color applied to the sheet metal , = reason for over spray. I think its been said that the paper was stapled to the wood in that rear area on Chevy.

Re: Black wood beds!!!! Pics Please

They are from Mark K , spring loaded pins that fit in the round top part of the tailgate. I liked them because they fit so clean , and I used a set of the later model fold up inside hinges. You have to do a little bit of trimming to get the hide away hinges to fit . makes a nice clean tailgate when finished. I think Mark K sells the inside hinge kit also.
