waring lamp
single tan wire, on ignition switch, on G2 pin of switch, provides momentary power for bulb check. It gets it power form where? ignition wire, starter wire, just not seeing it, in the factory manual? any help would be appreciated.

Re: waring lamp
That wire provides a momentary ground (not power) for the bulb check.
One side of the bulb is wired to ignition switched power (pink wire). The tan wire is connected to the other side of the bulb. One branch of the tan wire goes to the brake pressure warning switch located on the distribution block or combination valve. A pressure failure in the braking system will trip the switch, completing the circuit to ground, and illuminating the "brake" warning light. Another branch of the tan wire goes to the G2 terminal on the ignition swtich. That terminal is momentarily grounded (via the metal body of the ignition switch) when the key is in the "start/crank" position. That also completes the circuit to ground, illuminating the "brake" warning light for the bulb check. |
