Hey, I had a 75 imperial! It wasn't that bad, great trip car. How about any Saab or any Renault?

F$&d Fiesta, Subaru Justy, '70's Javelins, Toyota Prius (I think that's what it is), Honda Insight, Chevy (gasp!) Mudslide, err Avalanche, and last but definitely least, the Pontiac Asstek ('cuz it's BUTT UGLY!).
The Buick Rendezvous can be included, too, because it's a thinly veiled re-body of the Aztek.

On the flip side, I have to say the PT Cruiser is a cool vehicle, albeit a little underpowered. Wait 'til some of the variants come out! Also, Kudo's to the General for even THINKING about building something like the SSR. This is definitely a step in the right direction! For too long, GM has built bland, boring look-alike vehicles with no imagination. Now they're even taking away the Camaro/Firebird. WAKE UP GM! THE SLEEPER MUST AWAKEN!!

I agree on Matador, Saab,Aztec, Avalanch, Omni's, k-cars, first gen Camry's, 73-79 Mustangs(good suspension for hot rod though)and those Caddy's with the chopped trunk. Some of those others I can actually find some redeaming qualities even if they are limited to minor styling items or mechanical systems.

damn, you guys picked a lot of good looking cars up there!!!

but for ugliest cars ever...

eh... 3rd Gen Camaro, Buick Rendevous or however you spell that... and the final generation of Geo Metros/Suzuki Swifts...

Oh, and the newest generation of Honda Civic... not the Si, but the coupes... The Si's not that bad, even though it's a ripoff of the Focus ZX3... And how about '78 Celicas? Ack!

I'd rate the 59 El Camino as THE ugliest car of all time.

PT Cruiser. Best description I've heard is calling it a Neon wagon. It does look like a hearse from the butt end. 59 Chevy's are far from good-looking. And no one has mentioned the Ford Town & Country wagon with the fake wood on the sides.

I'd sure like to have a 59 El Camino in my garage! I love those Cat eye tail lights.

Avalanche, Aztech, Matador, Pacer, Achieva, - those are some Ugly MFer's
I had a 76 Buick Century that was awful ugly too! After it got rear ended by a van in 1983 , my buddies named it the Seville after those ugly ass slanted trunk Cattletraps. Can you say v8-6-4 with a straight face?

Here is my father's website, part of which includes his "old car" scrapbook. There are cars in there you've never heard of ranging from the very beginning of the history of the automobile up to 50's prototypes. Many are fugly but you can be the judge. Just click the "scrapbook" button.

I am a Die Hard GM Fan but one of the Fugliest Trucks ever made had to be 60 - 66 Chev/GMC trucks!! I like 47 - 54, 55 - 59, 67 - 72, 70 - 87, 88 - 98, and New Silverados but not the 60-66 Bodystyle and Avalanche and Trailblazers are in the Fugly Contest INMHO!!

I would have to say that vw truck that was around mid 80"s or even the vw thing. Man I like all the old stuff with wings, my parents have a pt we put a different front end side skirts and roll pan. It has a billet grill like on my truck 5 spoke wheels and duals it's not a bad looker.

Man, that hurts! I had a '65 El Camino many moons ago, and it was a peach. The only thing wrong with it was it was too light in the back end, but a couple of sacks of concrete mix took care of that.

Fugly? My vote goes to the Matador, or the Gremlin.

Ugliest chevy? I tried to find a picture of it to verify my feeble memory but I believe it was an early '80s Citation 4 Dr Hatchback.

My personnel tastes for El Camino were the 59 & 60...Then the 70...I'm ok with the later years. Just my preference though...I guess my daughter is right...I'm wierd!!

Ugly cars...Most often what comes to mind is Year 2000 +...Just about all them have gone the way of fugly. My wife's Bonneville is OK...But still lacks a lot to me.

Never had an Edsel....not wuite that old...but I have had most of the list...gremlins...things..(no Pacers...don't do rolling bathtubs...just land yachts)...finned caddy limos..59 hearse and most every other ugly thing produced by chrysler and AMC/Rambler.

We defined them then as "Cars with Character"....Most the stuff we could afford!

Ugly? These things kick ass. As soon as I'm done with the truck my next project is a Chevelle or El Camino.
