Join Date: Jan 2006 Location: Cushing Oklahoma Posts: 213 5.3 I just found a 5.3 engine and transmission still bolted together out of a 2015 Silverado with less than 10,000 miles on it is it worth $4,800 is this a good engine to put in my 68 short wide. |

I gave only a little more than that for my 2013 LS3/tr6060....but from what ive been seeing...the zip codes make the prices vary all over the chart...

another price factor to consider is what comes with it?

That is an LT L83/6l80, totally different animal than an LSx swap. Will cost more to put in and get running, but there is more hp and torque than an LS 5.3.

For some perspective, I just spent more than the 3k price of the 24k LT engine+6l80 in parts alone for a retrofit roller cam, iron head refresh, headers, rad w/fans update on my BBC. -klb
