*New Craftsman Tool Box*

Finially got my Craftsman bottom tool cabinet in. It was on back order for 3 weeks. I left the casters off so I can still open my electric panel above the tool chest. Lined the cabinet drawers with Kobalt liner. Just about rounding out my tool box collection. Just need one more tall cabinet to replace the wooden one at the entrance to the garage.

Re: *new Craftsman Tool Box*

Cool beans! I work at Lowes and we carry Craftsman. Yeah I know its not the Craftsman of old, but I really like the boxes.

Im the go to guy when it comes to getting deals at work. Hmm, this tool chest has a dent in the back, wonder if Mark would like it at a steep discount? ... Yes Mark would lol.

Very nice. I like mine. It has served me well for many years even though I don't take very good care of it.

Re: *new Craftsman Tool Box*

I still have the first tool box I ever bought. I was 16 and started out messing with a '69 Camaro that I bought from a friend across the street. It still has the Trans-dapt adn Rancho suspension stickers from when I had the '79 CJ-5. The BMW sticker came from my brother when he worked for a local BMW dealership.

Re: *new Craftsman Tool Box*

That's a nice chest. I have one pretty much like it that a neighbor gave me. It never did roll right, he said. I turned it over and discovered that the two wheels that don't swivel were installed so that they rubbed the lower lip. Changed the wheels around, and now it rolls fine. He's a helicopter mechanic.

Yikes. Remind me not to get on that helicopter.

Re: *new Craftsman Tool Box*

My first chest I got was a VERY cheap Craftsman. I still have it, it just got modified a bit to become a welding/plasma cutter cart. The replacements for the Craftsman were Harbor Freight stuff which I cannot complain about. Very good quality and so far about 15 years worth of rough life.

Re: *new Craftsman Tool Box*

I was at work today and the tool person pointed at me ... I have another bent box (its just the topper) are you interested? I told her sure if the price was right. So she showed me this box. Little dent in the front left upper corner. But on the right side towards the rear its got a pretty good dent and crease. It causes the drawers on the right to only open with some pretty good effort.

I really dont need another but my brother asked if I ever came up with a bench top that has the inner outlets and USB ports to please pick it up for him. I sent him a pic and the specs and problem area. A hundred bucks, you interested? He was haha! Ill take it apart and "smash" it out with a hammer before I give it to my brother. It wont look pretty on the far side but it should work ok.

I've actually missed out on a lot of deals because I wasn't in the right place at the right time. They do pass theses great deals on to customers too. Cheaper to just get them out the door and recoup what they can than try to send them back.
