I guess I need to dig a tiger pit in front of my porch steps . I know that slope in my front yard gets mighty slick when wet. I can only hope they slip and bust their butts I guess.

Same here with the UPS guy. It got to be where he knew my hobbies by the packages. He'd show up, "More parts for your truck. finishing up that engine you're building or are you tearing into something else?"

Maybe. I put up a sign on my place in Weldon with the address. My house is confusing. It's on a corner and when it was remodeled many years ago they changed the front door to face the other street. So what was once the front is now the side. It throws everyone off. The house looks like it's on one street but the address is on the other. I put up the sign but I still see the drivers looking around and looking at their GPS. If I see them I'll try to wave them down. They should have changed the address when they changed the house.

Here is my place from the bottom of the driveway and one straight out front showing the slope I hope they bust their ass on . I think they are too lazy and/or in too much of a hurry to pull in my driveway like they used to. Some still do and sometimes the pkg is in the vestibule, about 50/50

..it sure sounds like it could be one!..its the little entry area into a door...speaking of mail delivery, my neighbors and myself play musical driveways when we get home in the afternoon, delivering each others mail to the right address, it keeps us all on the street in touch with each other, funny thing is the numbers on the mailboxes are huge, and on both sides of the box, but at least twice a week I get someone elses mail, and we never have the same letter carrier more than a month or so...tim I agree with paul your place is really cool, great color combo, and neat layout!

I don't know what language vestibule comes from, but I first learned the word from camping tents. An enclosed area outside the tent door. I guess it's the same thing as a foyer. And I didn't say "fire" with a speech impediment. I think a foyer has a door. I guess another word for it would be alcove.

See that 1/2 round window? Behind that to the opening you see behind the pumpkin is a small area outside the door into the mudroom (know what that is? ), then the door into the house. I grabbed a couple pictures to show it better... for those with learning issues *

FedEx is at it again. Said my Rock Auto package has been delivered even though I am sitting here and no delivery truck has been. Already a week overdue and now Rock Auto says I gotta wait another week in case fedex find it. How are they going to find it if they have it listed as delivered? I can prove it was not delivered because my camera's. You can't get within 2000' of my place without being on camera. I really wanted to replace these pinion nuts instead of reusing the old ones. On the bright side though they delivered me $1000 worth of running boards I did not order for truck I don't own. Contacted them and the label that they reprinted on the outside of the box is the same label that is on my Inline tube order from a month ago. They have no clue and i have not heard back from them on that. Guess I gotta spend $70k for a 2021 Silverado crew to put them on

I just shipped out some parts to other members and USPS raised their price again on any box over 22 inches add $4.00 to the shipping costs , Wonderful !

I just got my bumper parts from GMC Paul. They were well packed but USPS must have had Mike Tyson throw the box around for a while because that box was beat hard and put away wet.

Thankfully nothing was damaged. Hats off to GMC Paul for a job well done, but USPS...Eh not so much.

My fedex package showed up in my mailbox this afternoon. I guess who ever received it was nice enough to drop it by.

Thru the years have had some shipping issues with any of the three, USPS, UPS and FedEx. Thankfully nothing was lost, just slow deliveries at various times by all three. Don't think any of the three stand out ahead of the other two but no way else to move parts from one part of the country to the other. No cheap options, just part of the game if want to purchase or sell for any distance.

My wife bought a Mink coat. It was REALLY expensive. It showed online as delivered. She never got it.

She had to fight with Fedex or whoever delivered it and got nowhere. I stayed out of it. It might have been UPS. I don't remember.

3 months later this box shows up that looks like it's been in a war and lost.

Go figure. It was her Mink coat and it was in perfect condition. She hasn't worn that thing once. Maybe I should take her out once in a while.

Ordered the starter from Summit for the 68 it’s being delivered by Lasership . Never heard of them we shall see if it gets here tomorrow as scheduled.

That's great name for a business that needs to take your thoughts away from shipments that meander, get lost in transfer depot to depot, are slow, or any other logistic issues. Just put it on a ship that shoots like a laser direct to your door! A common diversionary tactic. I'm right there with Ironhorse. They all have their issues from time to time. I don't know how this new outfit could be any different

I just ordered some stuff and they told me the shipping company was called "Ha Ha you aint gettin it'.

We’ll lasership delivered around 10 am this morning so they kept their delivery date . Only thing my order was short since I’m putting in a mini starter on a truck with points I needed a jumper diode harness to supply the coil with voltage . Wasn’t in the box ,Summit was good about it sending me out on today .

on another note... back in Jan , i shipped the bumpers and grill , along with some small parts for the Travelall i bought last yr, to elpaso for new chroming .. cost me $180 to ship ups ...they called yesterday and said my parts were ready...but ups wants over $800 to bring them back....CRAZY !!!!!!!!!!

That is totally contrary to the norm. Not just inflation. It is typical for businesses to get cheaper rates than private individuals. Even we can save on shipping by simply having the item shipped to a business address. Seems like UPS is dabbling in price gouging. How much do you figure you driving to El Paso to pick them up would cost you? The whole idea of shipping is to save on the cost of transportation

I lived in that cul-de-sac for 17 years. we could never convince the post off to change the labeling or replace the box. I went over there yesterday, 5/13/2022 and took that photo. nothing has changed.

And paypal, in their infinite wisdom, uses USPS delivery confirmation to determine refunds. "I never got my package" Paypal: OH yes you did. We have delivery confirmation from USPS. NO refund issued.

There should be no comparison in cost at all. Have you tried punching in the shipping yourself to see the honest amount it actually went up. I can not believe that price is honest inflation. could it be the plating outfit is "adjusting" the cost to their extreme benefit?

I stopped using my local UPS shop when an item I had weighed and priced in the morning cost got more expensive when I came back in the afternoon. This was many years ago.

I stopped buying from LMC mostly due to their shipping rates. They don't charge (or didn't) actual shipping cost. They play a game that prices shipping by value of the order. This gives them a way to make more profit off of shipping itself. They may lose on some shipments. But the things I have compared had them shining through as rip-offs

I dont think the platers are upcharging me on the shipping, the front desk lady there has been working for a couple of days to find the cheapest .. she's checking on truck shipping to my buddies business now, I missed her call fri, so I'll find out mon..

I was gonna ship a package with ups a couple of weeks ago .. small box, under 2lb, they wanted $53 to ship it regular ground....shipped with post office for under $18
