That`s a great concept!I always wanted to do a chop top 4x4.What frame is it on?Is it an I-beam/leaf front end?

Re: my radical 4x4 dually project

to awnser your ?s, the cab and frtend are sitting on a 96 1 ton 4x4 dodge reg cab, cab and chassis style, meaning slightly narrower diff. The origional truck was bought as a no option truck that we put a bale deck on for feeding cattle at the ranch, but it had a wiring fire at 30,000 km so i scrapped the cab for my beloved chosn 1 as it had been sitting in the yard for 5 or six years after my 15 or so years of driving it as a half ton longbox lowrider. Its kind of like 1 more kick at the cat fer the old girl, by the way the chop held up real well all thease yrs, as for the other ? i am currently putting multiple decks together, flatdeck, watertank, sander, steelhauling deck trailer hauling deck. check out my website for that last one WWW.rockalta.com sorry about all the bla bla bla but you got me started lol!

Re: my radical 4x4 dually project

that thing is bad! are you retro-ing all of the dodge's wiring/interior components (what's left of them after the fire?)

are you using any/all of the dodge's parts/electronics? i've often wondered if something like that would work.

Re: my radical 4x4 dually project

the only dodge component other than drivetrain is the e brake assy,i sold the cab and frontend to help fund the project , wiring is a streetrod kit from painless, guages are gold bezel antique series from autometer, all switches are from a western star semi truck, column and steering wheel from flaming river seat from 88 gm, stereo and nav system from alpine i dont need computer cause inj pump is manual

Re: my radical 4x4 dually project

the track looks a bit wider than the fenders in your pics. is that really the case? if so, how do you plan on mitigating the difference. that thing's too clean for flares. is it a wheel offset thing?

oh, and what do you plan on putting in the rect. radio slot? bag controls? a/c?

Re: my radical 4x4 dually project

i'll take some pics of the susp, since this is to be my daily driver and work truck im running the new really beefy alcoa slot mags in 16 inch size,i've already installed a multi deck system from www.truck transformer.com so i cant run 22.5 wheels cause the truk would be a little to tall to pull my decks on easily, the top of my rockers sit at 37 inch high with bags inflated and drop to29 with bags dumped.the decks im running will include portable welding deck, flatdeck for hauling steel to my shop, enclosed snowmobile deck and one of my custom aluminum 5th wheel hauling deck as seen on my website www.rockalta.com because i pickup and deliver gooseneck trailers that we repair. yes i sold the dodge cab and frtend. the track is almost perfect so we will see how much stuff gets flung up the side of the body in bad weather. the slot beside the switches is fit for the vintage air heat/ac system that puts out almost 3 times the output of stock 67/72 heater and its dimensions are way smaller
