1970 1 Ton Dually...

Did these trucks come from the factory as 1 Ton Duallys with an 8' fleetside bed??? I saw one for sale here in PA, but unfortunately, I know nothing about them. Any help, and possibly some pics would be a great help!
Thanks

Re: 1970 1 Ton Dually...

73 was the first year for a dually with a bed. 72 and older were cab and chassis. There are alot of custom dually pics around here. Check the pics forum.

Nope. No fleetside box. You oould get a plain cab and chassis, or a flatbed/stakeside and I believe a utility body.

No dual wheel trucks in this era with the 56"cab to axle measurement that long beds have.Just 60" and 84".

Of course mine is custom made as well, although lots of people "THINK" that mine is original which blows me away.

Re: 1970 1 Ton Dually...

It look VERY original. Putting stepside fenders on a fleetside bed to make a dually bed is an awesome idea.

I like the white on up farther that looks like it has a narrowed axle. Thats a classy look, too.

Re: 1970 1 Ton Dually...

Here's another 1969 or 1970 C/30 on eBay, it's listed as a 1967 though. This thing needs to be rescued big time! Not bad for 10 bucks, if it was closer I'd buy it straight up.
