anyone have the wiring diagram or color codes?

well as you all know trying to continue or finish up a project from the previous owner is always going to be a pain or figure out what they are doing.

long story short, it looks like they attempted to redo the wirings and i'm left with the headlights not working and turn signals don't blink (for some reason when the headlight switch is on both left/right signal is on at the same time and when I try to use the turn signal, one of them turns off)

Sounds like I have some issues with the ground wires? the thing that is hard is there are tons of wires cut and left dangling and I don't know what is what.

any input would be greatly appreciated! I want to be able to start driving this truck at night and use the turn signals already! lol!

Not sure what you are working with, but my truck was hacked away by my Gramps, who was an electrician. Over 20 splices alone in the cab. So I will be going with this kit:

Nothing but great things to be heard on AAW and this kit. Just throwing it as an option and their instructions are clear and easy to follow. Good luck!

You don't have a '67, do you?

I have a 68' but it looks like they changed the fenders out and went with a total different wiring from another year? the reason why I said that is because I was told I have 69' fenders without the sidemarkers. and it looks like these wirings are from a gmc? because i see another set of what looks like headlight plugs? this thing is a mess

Wow! I never thought about Frankenstein's nervous system. After 40+ years of rats and shorts, high heat and cold freezes, and P.O.'s gadget projects: 8-track, CB, homemade fog lights, etc. I could see where it might be best to rip it out and start over with a good factory style harness like M&H.
A true '68 has no lights in the fenders -- side markers are reflectors only. '67s have no cut outs for markers or lights. Some '69s may have had working side marker lights, and this included turn signal indicators by '71.

Re: anyone have the wiring diagram or color codes?

You might post some pics so we know if you're working on a new harness, old, or if new, which one(s)...
If you have an originalish harness, there should be some stickies or a diagram on the site.
For new, you need the maker's color code and schematic.
As always, you need grounds (return path to battery), which by convention aren't on the drawings. You just have to know...
