Where are the best wiring diagrams for our trucks?

I was trying to figure out the ammeter circuit, but the wiring chart I have is for a non-gauge truck and it just shows a different layout at the actual dash connection.

Where would I best look to figure this out (ie: what has the best wiring diagrams, is it the assembly manual)?

Thanks
Dave

PS: As I said, I have the big colored chart but that's for non-gauges as near as I can tell.

There's a nice color diagram somewhere, probably a sticky in the electrical section.
Its representative rather than totally accurate, since wiring changed over the years, but its the best around. I had kinkos laminate one. It took some arguing, but they did it.

I used that one two weeks ago to chase down my ammeter issue on my gauge cluster. The problem was near the battery, the fuse holder was all corroded to heck.

I buy one of these for every truck I own - worth every penny. The ones on here are nice (and mostly identical), but it's easier to carry laminated heavy card stock to the truck than my laptop... Very handy out in the shop. http://www.classiccarwiring.com/chevytruck/

Re: Where are the best wiring diagrams for our trucks?

Has anyone removed a fuse terminal out of fuse box "painless" wiring ? Is there a special tool needed ?
