Seeking advice on new tires
I'm looking for advice on new tires for my 98 stepside. It is currently stock height. Looking for something in 17- or 18-inch. No 20's. I will also be lowering it either 3/4 or 4/6. The wheels I'm looking at are Torq Thrust II's. What would be good for tires? All input is appreciated. (Currently has 275/55/20's) Thanks!

Re: Seeking advice on new tires
Don't have any pics, but I had an 89 GMC RCSB that was lowered 2.5" front and 3 or 4" rear, still had a slight rake. But I have 17s on it, 275/55 on 9.5s on the rear, and the front were 8s, but can't remember what size they were. They were BFG Scorchers if that helps lol. Tells yah how long ago it was....but it looked great....

Re: Seeking advice on new tires
that is actually one of the optionss/choices I have been looking at. 255/60/17 front (8inch wheel) and 275/55/17 back (9.5 inch wheel). the other is a 275/45/18 all around with 9.5 wheels

Re: Seeking advice on new tires
the 17s are general grabbers and the 18s are Bridgestones

Re: Seeking advice on new tires
I'm running 7" and 8" Torque Thrusts with 235 and 255x17's. the only thing is that 255's are getting hard to find. 275's on 9.5" rears work well too though.

Re: Seeking advice on new tires
For a 4/6 drop the nitto's in 255/50/17 and 275/50/17 should be perfect. I run 245/50/17's and the 275/50's on my 98 with a 5/6 drop.
