Re: My new project 86 Silverado
Supposed to start on rocker this week and then going to blast the cab. From there I think firewall and door jams are getting trimmed in and probably paint the interior. I hope.

Re: My new project 86 Silverado
I need a good TH400 for my truck, any opinions of places to get performance transmissions?

Well if you still have the th400, I would see about getting it rebuilt and have them build it up. Might be more cost effective that way. |

Re: My new project 86 Silverado
I was given some help from the owner of Drive Train Specialists. http://www.dtscustom.com
The owner made my day on a 9" complete rear end assembly for my truck. posi, 3.25 gears. so in a couple of weeks, I'll have a really nice rear end for my truck, can't wait!!!! |
Re: My new project 86 Silverado
Nice man!!!! That's great news!!

Re: My new project 86 Silverado
Your truck looks solid, that brake kit will def help in the stop department! You might want to look at a Trans adapter plate for a BOP engine to trans. I used one years ago on a buddies car, I cant remember if we had to use a spacer on the torque converter or not. You would have a lot more choices for a trans.
