Re: Boyd Welding-67-72 Rear Mount Aluminum Tank
cool cool.
Ok i have followed this from the beginning and even looked back some and at your website which by the way is great looking. Just to confirm a couple things. I swapped to a plastic blazer tank with an external pump a few years ago and well dont like it much. this is for a EFI (ls1 setup). I cut the smaller spare tire cross member out and this fits pretty good but is ugly. I assume this will just fit right in its place. I want to confirm but I currently have a side filler since it is on the tank I have. Your photos show this to be a a 90 degree out of the tank can this be rotated up slightly? My tank has a smaller filler neck and is slow to fill. I am concerned my external pump might go out as it did on my way back from Mobile on the Power Tour. I dont like the external pump as well as the internal one. Can you elaborate on the baffles some more? I know most of this may be in this post but it is 15 pages I looked thru part of it again and didnt see all this. Again thanks Dave Oh yea I want to put my name in for one of the slots. |

Re: Boyd Welding-67-72 Rear Mount Aluminum Tank
another quick question on the EFI pump. I have heard an ocassional problem with the Walbro pumps, I guess no body has had any issues with these? Also would there be a reason to upgrade or I assume these will support the 500 hp range. Im not there but am thinking of FI at some point and didnt want to skimp on the pump. Like I said before the big reason for me to look here is to get an intank pump these seem to be better as the are cooled by the fuel.
Just looking for any other thoughts on this. But since this is limited I better make a move quick. lol Again thanks Dave |
Re: Boyd Welding-67-72 Rear Mount Aluminum Tank
Dave,
I have an efi but want to keep my external pump, do these have or can I request it to have return line provision added? also I will need -6 connections on return and output. |
Re: Boyd Welding-67-72 Rear Mount Aluminum Tank
Dave,
I just ordered my std tank with side filler. Thanks for the group buy. I need a 240-33 ohm sender instead of the 0-90. Can that be done? If not can you delete the 0-90 sender and possibly credit me for the $39???? Do u have any idea on turnaround on these. Rough guess is OK. My order # is 6HF180898R451924E Thanks, Mel |

we have 240-33 senders that we can add to your order no problem. Our production times right now are 7-10 business days. I am glad you brought up the question about if you do not need the sender or roll over vent if there would be a credit because i have had that question a few times already this morning. There will not be any credits or discounts given if you leave off the sender or rollover since the tanks have not been up-charged to cover those expenses that is how we can offer a "True Free Shipping" and offer the ROV and Sender without any extra cost. When we do a Group Buy I personally cover the expenses of the sender and ROV and we sacrifice almost all profits through production to offer the "Best Price Anywhere". I really enjoy this forum and these Group Buy's are my way of saying Thank You! |
Re: Boyd Welding-67-72 Rear Mount Aluminum Tank
Just ordered my tank Dave.
Thank you for doing this group buy and thanks for the great price! Can't wait to get the tank! Jay |
Re: Boyd Welding-67-72 Rear Mount Aluminum Tank
Thanks for the quick response Dave.
The other question I have for you is: Is the side fill 2" or 1-1/2". I would like to have my tank with a 1-1/2" side fill. I am going to be using a fuel filler mounted on the wheel well or stake pocket and the ones I have been able to find all are 1-1/2". I sent this question to you also on your web site but thought I would repeat it here also in case anyone else has the same issue. Thanks, Mel |

Re: Boyd Welding-67-72 Rear Mount Aluminum Tank
Dave, I removed my spare tire cross member and am thinking about ordering a slightly larger size to get more capacity. If I go larger what would you charge on top of the group buy price?
Thanks, Shawn |
Re: Boyd Welding-67-72 Rear Mount Aluminum Tank
i may have missed the this, but does the group buy price include a build to spec tank also. if it does i am in for a efi version. thanks daniel.

Re: Boyd Welding-67-72 Rear Mount Aluminum Tank
Will this tank work with a Porterbuilt rear drop member? If so put me in line.
