Can't wait for cruise nights.. Nice stuff Mike. Just read up on the tire tread incident. I laugh (with respect) how calm you sound on these things. It's a virtue I struggle to achieve.

Thanks Molberg. I had to come to the realization I built it to drive, so I just take took it with a grain of salt on the tire tread incident. Now if some dumba$$ decides to door ding me, I might come unglued.

It's a total blast to drive. In fact I drove it to work today just for fun :metal::chevy:

Awesome photo update Mike! The farm truck you parked next to is cool and I bet the black 71/72 is sweet too but your truck is clearly the coolest in that shoot. I bet it's fun to drive - JEALOUS!!

It's looking great! I can't wait to start driving mine. I've been throwing money at it so much it'll be nice to actually use it.

Awesome build... If mine comes out half as nice as yours, I'd be extremely proud. I have learned a TON from you, thanks!

I see you have a cruise control style turn lever on your column, is the cruise control working for you? I did a search of your thread and didn't find anything written. - Buck

Hey Buck, Yes I have a stock cruise/turn signal lever. I bought it from member ls1nova71. My son wired it into the stock LS PCM/harness. MORE INFO
Yes my cruise works great. If you are using a Dakota digital lever/cluster setup I think it wires a little bit different.

One more question, are you using a drive by wire setup or a cable? I'm guessing dbw but had to ask to make sure.

I'm using drive by wire on my truck, but the setup works the same on drive by cable. My son's 86 truck is drive by cable and he used the stock cruise lever that came in his truck.

Re: 1969 Short Wide

You have to love Oklahoma weather, our favorite tree got destroyed by lightening and now flooding has taken a toll on my driveway. On the bright side, I took the truck out Monday for a quick trip to the store. I got a little mud on the tires but it was worth it.
It has been weeks since I got to drive it.

Mike, I gotta be honest, your truck could look better...if it was sitting in my driveway. Sorry to hear about your tree and typically if it hits you in OK it hits me in Northwest, AR. Truck is looking great.

Love your truck Mike. There's a perfect twin K10 just down the road from me. I'll snag a photo.

Thanks, I'm sure it would get muddy in AR. right now too. :)

Thanks Mark. No worries about the trees and weather, as long as I can avoid the tornadoes..... I made a new home for the truck a while back, right next the Wife's Camaro :chevy:

Your truck is looking great as always. The weather has been crazy this year. I'm tired of all the rain.

Thanks! No kidding about the weather. It has been the worst spring for rain I remember.

Man, that stinks about the trees! You guys in OK have been getting hammered with bad storms the last few years. Stay safe down there Mike!

Glad to see that you are making it through the tornados and floods. Shawnee seemed to be hard hit the other night with water. This year has been a drastic change from last.
