She did darn good. I rented a dolly from U-haul. Don't get me wrong, she runs absoulutely perfect.

Two reasons why I towed it this way. First of all I didn't want to "3-speed" it all the way there. I like to drive fast, and it would of taken me forever to get there. This thing really revs on the freeway. Niot sure it the rearend gears were changed at one time to a lower set or what. I never even checked the ratio.

Second of all, we would of had to take another vehicle for my wife and kids.

I towed it with the SuperDuty, and we all rode together.

I think what is next is the M22 conversion.

What do you run at on the freeway ??

Hey John, are you talking about a muncie m22? If so what are you going to do about the shifter and the bench seat?

ChiefRocka 05-21-2007 12:47 AM

Re: Project "Rock-a-Billy".....Saga Continues.....

Not sure yet. Probably a combination of linkage and seat modification.

There's got to be a simple way to get it in there....We will see.

I would prefer a 700R4...but $$$

Why not get something like this? I'm still new to getting parts for these trucks but wouldn't this work well?

I think I might go the 700R4 route eventually.

I like the shifter (with the 20Cal. round on it), just dont like the RPMS...

Not really...I've just been driving it. I have a small pin-hole in the radiator that the Rad shop missed....its dirty'n my engine up. Soon as I have some time, I'll pull it out. Anyway, other than that, it's done for now. I might rattle can it one more time. I plan for this September to take it to a show in GrassValley, then from there it will go under the knife for some bodywork up at my wifes cousins house.

nice to know shes still goin and youre still driven her instead of sitting somewhere

Re: Project "Rock-a-Billy".....Saga Continues.....

Yeap, I drive her as much as I can. At the moment, it's sitting at my folks house because I'm work'n on my mom's 91 Corolla trying to get to smog....It's been a pain to get that sucka to pass.

I could of "had" it done, but all it needs is a CAT, which was only $80...not too bad. The problem is the Magna-Flow replacement CAT for that car was manugfactured incorrectly...the flange pipes are too small. I went up the ladder and spoke with the tech/engineer @ MF. He said he would get right on it.

Anyway, enough about that.

I am cool with how the Chief turned out. All it needs is some attention to the inside of the bed, and of course some body-work and real satin paint. Hopefully by the end of this year, the body-work will be started.

Thanks again guys....
