Is that a early Impala dash or caddy?

I bought it out of Burlingtom WA from a fellow named Cory. So it could have been there.......did it win anything?? lol

Impala dash and lowered seat. Not like driving a normal 67-72.

I couldn't honestly tell you... Never made a pass. Just got it done right before winter, maybe next year. Thinking mid 12s, but thats a complete guess (hope)!!

I'm guessing the trucks weight is 3400lbs +200 for me, it dynoed 655hp 590ftlbs @ the flywheel. I have a turbo 350 w/trans brake, 4.56 gears, 4200 converter, and 31" tall tires. I checked one of the on-line calculators, it said mid 10s. I think their math has flaws.... lol!

What do you boys think is realistic?

You put up 50 more hp than my 406. It has ran 11.70's not hooking so great. That's with a 28" tall tire w/4:10's launching @ 3400. You will kill the 12's into a mid to low 11's. Into (roll bar) territory.

Nice truck!!

Yeah, I don't think you'll have a problem running mid-12s... with a 2 bbl carb bolted on in place of your Holley! Like 68 C-10 Kid said, I think, if your dyno and weight figures are accurate, you'll be looking at mid-to-low 11s easily, provided it hooks.

Dyno numbers are good, its the weight I'm not sure of....lol! I think I have another transmission issue with it. It just doesn't feel quick. I lost second gear the first time I drove it, maybe I'm just paranoid now. Maybe it just feels so different than anything I ever drove before. I'll give it a little more seat time, before changing anything....

On the bright side, I know my loud exhaust ticket is waiting for me!! If anyone is debating about a set of Flowmaster Hushpowers, at least the 3.5" in&out ones are pretty loud

The tailgate/roll pan combo is a story all in itself. My friend made that bad boy for me. Its rolled in a slip roll machine for the big radii. He then bent the 90 on the top. Then, with urethane soft dies he bumped in the compounds on the top and bottoms. He now hates me!!! lol!!! He told me it has almost 50 hits with the press brake.

It had to be made like that because I moved the frame rail height up almost 9" (for lower ride height) The frame rails are now above center of the tailgate. I knew if I used a bumper and long drop brackets they fold up if they got hit (and be heavy). Picture doesn't show the best, its all I have on hand...

The tail lights I had made custom. They have over 100 leds in each of them. The center of each has 15 blue leds (coping the old blue dots) Got them from a place in Texas, I can't for the life of me remember the company name... They were actually pretty cheap, I think @ $300 with the weld in buckets and harness pig tails.

That hood is a bucket of worms!!! Mine is from up22. Lets just say be prepared to do some body work... Lots of pin holes and air bubbles, lots a fitments issues. There really isn't allot of choices for glass hoods, so you deal with it.... The part I never realized would be a issue is: hood springs. Even the glass hood is heavy (Its big). The hinges in our trucks have a compound action in them (they lift up and forward). So you need spring tension to pull the hood forward as it raises, up22 tells you to just ditch the factory springs and all is good. It works, but binds when opening (the hood hooks the cowl). So I used the heaviest glass hood springs Harwood/Jegs made. It works okay, but they still need more tension.

seams to be a little more accurate than others that i've seen. I don't think they figure on truck aerodynamics which cost some ets.
