The first fitting after I made the bends..
If you look close you can see the marks I had made where the bend started and finished (hence the reason I used the tape) therefor transfer the measurements to the metal, set the bottle in place and make your bend..

Pic #1 was able to get it all set in place and using cleckos to hold it there. It also shows the round bar going on..
Pic #2 A closer look and also shows a better look at the marks made for the bend..
Tune in next time....

A quick look at it all welded and metal finish. It also shows a good look at the panel/door panel lining up.

Pic #1 This is a design idea I have for the inner panel. (wanted to dress the panel up a bit) 1st one has 6 holes.
Pic #2 showing the 5 hole version..
Now, the insert will be made from 1/8" steel and will have the holes drilled in it and will chamfer the edges of the holes or bevel them, for a better look. My idea is the inserts will be painted wrinkle black and the bevel will be re done and left bare (with clear over the bare metal)

Looking really good. To add contrast you could always place some fine (SS) screen mesh behind each of the holes in the door panel. That might tie in nice with the edges that you will leave metal finished.

Very nice touch having the design flow across the back of the cab.

Thank's Rob... I felt if I didn't go that route it would look unfinished. You tend to see that alot at some of these shows and so on where the interior just Stops!!

Pic #1 showing it with all holes drilled (used a 3/4" rotabroach and made this easy step) The band I had sheared to the same dimension as the back of the panel insert on door.
Pic #2 a better look behind seats with holes..

Today I'm going to switch gears a bit I need to fix one issue before I can move forward.
Pic #1 The stock riser.....My bucket seats I have decided to use sit way to high to be able to keep the riser so away it goes...
Pic #2 The sheet of 1/8" I'll be using for the new pan..

Here is a pic of the new pan cut and welded in..
if you notice when I removed the stock riser I left the structure at the back of cab so it will not affect the support of cab at all...
also notice the flange nuts welded in place this is for the seats

Pic #1 shot of the seat/mount I made.
first I needed to remove all the stock mounting pieces and smooth out the bottom of rails. Then I used 2x2x 1/8" tube for the new riser. These were bolted to the bottom of the rails and then I made Tabs so it can be bolted to the new pan.
Pic #2 bottom of seat with tabs on..

Seats all mounted very solid and puts me in the center of the windshield. Since I'm running a visor I put it back on so I could make sure I could see well enough out the windshield..

Next up...The steering column

Mark...
