I saw Firefall in the late 70's early 80's at Colorado State Fairgrounds . They opened for America.

Seen Firefall myself in the 70's along with Marshall Tucker Band. Firefall opened and Marshall Tucker followed. Kansas Coliseum just north of Wichita, Ks. One of the best concerts I've ever been to.

I never saw them in concert, but I taped their albums on cassette and played them a lot. Many of their songs stand out in memories of cross-country trips in the '70s into the '80s

Takes me back to The Flying Burrito Brothers, which Rick Roberts was a member of as well

Excellent band my son brought my attention to. Dude appears influenced by some great ones, Cohen, Waits, Cash, Bowie. Fine musicians.

Great song. WOW! I just had that song running through my head yesterday and was thinking how it was a Neil Young song. I haven't heard the song in years, just came to me. I couldn't remember the female artist who did it. Thanks for the reminder

It's ran through my head two days now, thinking about Neil Young too. He was my uncle's favorite artist. My uncle was a 60s hippy turned conservative, the guy saw it all and was very gentle.

Maybe this will adjust heads on something different. Top 5-10 tune in my book, sometimes simple is better.

Yeah bummer, same with Charlie Watts. He was such a clean drummer, almost easy to miss because seems he fell under the radar complimenting the rest of the band.

Charlie was Mr Reserved all the way. I thought he was so cool. Well, actually that's exactly what he was! He's one reason I wanted to play drums

They sound like Led Zepplin but have their own sound as well. I am always listening to newer music trying to find something different. I am not sure if someone has already mentioned them.
Greta Van Fleet

Also a GREAT remake of Tennessee Whiskey by Chris Stapleton, new to me anyway

Re: Nudder Music Thread: 67-72 Music

I don't think we have heard Greta Van Fleet here yet. They are really good. From what I've heard people either like them because they sound like Led Zeppelin, or they don't like them because they sound like Led Zeppelin. I'd say they nailed the sound pretty darn close, tuned to the key of Led Zepelin. I don't care to split hairs. We are all influenced by what came before, Led Zeppelin is very long gone, and it's nice to get some more, that is new and original.

No one complains these guys are trying to sound like Led Zeppelin

Then I find this! Dazed & Confused!
