If you were going that route, I think the hhr tails would have been perfect.

Keep up the good work.

Since you are building an Envoy based Suburban I figured you might like to see some other Envoy conversions

It would be nice to know if this is a drivetrain swap, chassis swap, or full floor & firewall swap like mine is undergoing.

I talked to this guy for a while and he said that he left the Envoy body on the chassis and put the 53 chevy cowl over it. He said that he tipped the front fenders down and redrilled the holes to give the hood a little more slope.

Wonder what wheels those are and how he attached the caps...?

docrock 07-01-2010 07:09 PM

Re: 52 GMC Envoy Burb meld/build

i will look for his info. the wheels are the little spares with regular tires. I forget what he got them off of

Re: 52 GMC Envoy Burb meld/build

Those are the standard steel wheels that they use for spares. Got one on the left front of my trailblazer right now. Has a full size tire on it.

I'M STILL HERE! Thanks for the concern. Just doing honeydo's around the house. My wife had her reunion at our house--we had to plan for 150 people. Anyway, back to the important stuff. The truck has made some progress. Along with the pics, I'm replacing the broken power steering pump reservoir tomorrow--then off to the radiator shop to 'meld' a 52 radiator casing to connect to the Envoy inlet & outlet. Did a little tire fitment at the local Les Schwab Saturday, and will probably go with 26.5 inch height tire all the way around--not sure if I will go with 17, 18, or 20 or a combo. The overall height will be the same because it is all-wheel drive.
I do like my GMC's, but this one will NOT be yellow!!
