Awesome job guys! Your metal work is looking very nice! I love the budget build with using all the parts like you have. I also love how you guys painted up the engine. It looks awesome! I know James will have that truck looking show worthy!

James, what's the yellow product you put on the roof? Keep up the great work guys!

Tyler's Mom and Dad went to city on saturday to take front sheet metal in to James garage. Melissa and grandaughter Harleigh made me Papa a birthday cake and gave me a present(thank you). While we were in city Lyle (tyler's great uncle) was back to work on a seat to our surprise. Here is a picture of how it looks

Thanks bud. It surely is coming along nicely. Considering Tyler is younger, he is gonna have one nice ride when we are done for a decent build price. Good thing he has Family. ;) The yellow product is just Evercoat Rage mud. I mix my mud with a bit of fiberglass resin and then normal hardener, this gices it that shiny appearance and lays down really nice and a bit easier to sand. Like i said. Practice makes perfect.

Thanks for all the comments. I have been busy trying to order parts and not have the freight choke us to death. Thanks to James and Darren we got it figured out. I did a little more sandblasting then primed and painted. The AC vents showed up so here are some pictures.

Gotta love those fleetsides. We also have a 58 GMC short bed fleetside that is in the works. If you happen to have some spare parts, like a set of front fenders that are in decent shape, I'd be interested. :)

You've done a lot of great detail work on this truck. It's going to be a real head turner when you're done with it

Well, I had to spend some time and get my 05 running again.. ended up tearing the top end of the engine apart basically, found 6 problems but all fixed finally. I do have some more pics of progress so far.. we managed tp get tje front sheetmetal all hung and placed then got the gaps all dialed in on the right side so far, and the cab footwell is all finished up. Tyler has been busy sanding parts and grinding my welds. but overall everything is coming along nicely. hopefully this week i will get the gaps all done on the left side, then we can work on the bodyfiller for the rest of the front end of the truck!!!

Well it sounds like James is waiting for an up date, but I am doing my best to make him wait . James may have had some engine problems glad did not as we just got home from one week in Cuba and all in all it was great. When we got home I drove 500 miles to save a little freight and duty costs and it worked out great . Thanks to Courtney and Duane

We also got the wood floor but must have bad luck or something. The bolt kit we got was the right one but was missing all 1/4 in. carriage head bolts, they are on the way here now. I think Tyler's started to count all his change to try and get this done
