well, if gravel dust, road salt and manure rust and livestock and farm implement dents count as patina, this old farm truck has LOTS of it

older pictures in the wild..

all original 65 C20 / 283 / 4sp / 4.57 rear, never missed a day of work in its life! ever!

brought is out here to get the mechanical safety items working and clean up the interior..

still running smooth and strong on points and a tune up I did back in the 80's :metal:

planning to leave as much of old sheet metal outside as possible and still hold it together :D

had some plates made with dad's initials and farm name, make great souvenirs when we move back there ;)

Factory Black? VERY cool! Not many around that I've seen. What's with the black stripes on the doors? Also looks like it maybe carried a big cabover camper at one time based upon the cowl mounted brackets? Sometimes they mounted forward stabilizing struts there for the camper unit.

I'm going to repair the rust this winter and find an alaskan or avion c11 for it. The stripes were white at one time, it's been almost completely rubbed off.

This truck was redone 20 plus years ago with a pretty mediocre paint job. It's showing it's age so my friend decided to go the "patina route.
I know it's not original, but he is happy with it.
It's going to be dropped, suspension upgraded and different wheels and tires. Gonna be one heck of a good driver!

My old friend, the tan '62 C20 has been getting some much needed love lately. New tires, wheels, brakes, bedwood, and a tune-up. Nothing beats the real deal.
