I bet those skinny back tires didn't bite to good. I ran 10 inch slicks and it still broke loose when the light turned green.

You are correct sir..best et as it sits was 13.90@108mph.. enough power for an 18 year old... it is just getting it down the track..He is still green ..Motor makes enough power for that truck to overcome crappy 60'times,he knows enough to lean into it so once it got moving all was good...good learning experience ...I want him to wheel the 64 max wedge car this year(((he owns 1/2 the car)))..so lots of practice first..

Such a good truck. Gave it some exercise this weekend. :gmc2: I've had since 1985. Has 83,000 miles today. Harrison dealer ad on AC still cold. It sat in the back of my basement for over 15 years and the battery rusted out the right front sheet metal. Started with freshing up the motor a couple years ago. Front fenders and hood all replaced now and starting to restore it! It made 6 trips to HD this weekend for 240 bags of mulch...40 per trip!

Thanks for the info. I’ve been wanting to convert my longbed to a shortbed for a while but every time I use it as a truck I think twice about it. That would be super convenient to have all that room.
