wow that is awsome! you dont have all the door latch stuff on so the doors are staying open a little right? have you washed the interior and cleaned it up? great progress!

Re: Project 67 DRGNWGN - 67 Burban!!

thanks fellas!

ya, i havent put the latches on yet, still gotta sand em up and spray em silver. havent really done anything to the interior...still kinda planning on what to do. i know i will need some big sheets of sheetmetal though lol. i would like to build the floor all together and make a huge hatch opening in the floor to access all the air ride stuff. that will be later in the year though...

i thought so you know sooner or later we are going to need interior pics

Re: Project 67 DRGNWGN - 67 Burban!!

lol..i wish i was at that stage to work on the interior...someday :(

well, not much progress has been done. i did get the the the hatch sanded down and ready to spray. but it would be useless without getting the rear cargo area primed. also started working on the tailgate, man this thing needs A LOT of work! so i decided to finish up the cargo jamb. not sure if you guys remember, but it was pushed in about 3-4 inches on the passenger side by the hinge area. i decided it would be much easier to replace the area rather than try to pull it out. so heres the progress...

http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y15...331_193251.jpg

heres how off i was on the cut...less than 1/4"..im happy with it!
http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y15...331_193301.jpg

this shows how pushed in the very end of it was...it was worse a litte more towards the center..
http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y15...331_193243.jpg

overall i think its turning out pretty good. when i looked at it from the side it is a little bowed where the 2 pieces meet, but not a whole lot. i think it will finish up nicely. ill finish welding up tomorrow and grind it all up hopefully, then i can get to sanding it down saturday morning and shooting it.

and whats been slowing me down lately? just signed the papers on a house! will be my first home purchase..so im def. excited but really nervous!

best part about it is that i will finally have a garage...worst thing is my truck will probably end up on the back burner for a while to see how things go. im hoping not, but i guess well see. i can still get the truck fully primed in and out, interior painted along with the firewall, and motor dropped in. but all the glass and rubber and little things will have to wait. looks like im gonna miss this show year :(

donations for the truck are gladly appreciated ;)

the back of the truck is pushed nearly against the wall in the garage...so i decided to work on this for now. got the circle one all welded up...will probably start tacking on the other 2 today. heres all the progress for now..

You ever figure out a way to mount your rear bags? I'm in the same situation as you and I'm trying to figure something out now. I might have to go with sleeved bags and mount over axel is all I can see....

nope, if i trusted myself on welding my own brackets, i would just 4 link it and put them on the lower bars. but, im thinking of maybe switching to putting them on my axle, like texastrends did. i believe he used these brackets..

yes, those are the brackets i used on my project, you can trim the top one to align it to the bottom one as needed.

Re: Project 67 DRGNWGN - 67 Burban!!

just curious, what welder did you use for that?

my friend has a hobart mig welder that i used to extend my panhard bar with. wondering if it could be good enough to weld those brackets on with.

Re: Project 67 DRGNWGN - 67 Burban!!

got a little done today, finished up the shaving of the firewall. still need to grind just a little bit, then its on to some filler. oh, and before i forget, what was that orange wire plugged up to? ..i was about to cut it off but cant remember what it was connected to..lol

is there any spray can primer that i can spray on this bare metal before laying primer? i cant spray my eastwood until i get a compressor, but i really dont want to lay filler over bare metal.

Re: Project 67 DRGNWGN - 67 Burban!!

Orange wire went to the blower motor..

Re: Project 67 DRGNWGN - 67 Burban!!

good, its coming off then lol. hey, i noticed you shaved up a lot of bolts and holes on the driver side, did you move a lot of things around to get rid of those. i was looking at mine and it doesnt seem i could really get rid of any of them.
