He will be the first one to light up the tires .... and he will light them up, he probably put over 200k miles on this truck before i got and i have seen him burn rubber ALOT!!!

I work almost every Saturday, i sell cars.... so i cant wait for Grandpa to take it to the first show by himself, 79 years old , hop out, hit the remote and lay it on the ground....makes me chuckle just thinking about it

That will be a classic moment right there! You'll have to have someone with a video camera to catch the other people's faces :lol:

I have that same dream everyday... My grandpa is more excited about my truck build than I am.

finished up the welding and grinding on the rear half last night , threw some krylon on it until after the final mock up , then i will sand blast and powdercoat the frame, got the tranny crossmember in and started trying to figure out my power steering hose situation....man that is tight to try to get hoses in there

Re: Raising the bed floor 67cheby

i take it that the semysolid engine mounts are simulair of those of a dropmember why dont you use hardline thats a lot thinner than the rubber hose

Re: Raising the bed floor 67cheby

i am combining my two threads to one "raising the bedfloor" and "67cheby 3.2 dropmember install" to one Build thread it will be titled....... "67 chebys dropmember build thread" i have a moderator working on changing the title now

67cheby 04-28-2010 09:39 AM

Re: Raising the bed floor 67cheby

i dont think i can use a hardline, the powersteering pump has to move in order to tighten the belt, and yes they are the dropmember motor mounts

is this the thread that you want a name change on? To link to it in your signature add this in your user cp/ edit signature area:

url=http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/showthread.php?t=359678]My Build Thread[/url

but add brackets at the start and end like this [ and this ]

Re: Raising the bed floor 67cheby

Those ps hoses are a pain! I had to hook up all the hoses with the power steering pump unbolted from the block.
