Re: Starting a 52 Chevy 3100 Project.
I spent the last couple of days reading thru your build. Nice job. Envious of your skills. One question, and what I plan on doing with mine - how did you make the original fuel fill location disappear? There are very few posts showing pictures of the passenger side. You can almost see in post 157 that it is no longer there? Did I miss a post somewhere?

also, brothers trucks and other venders have a preformed piece that you weld in. thats what I used on mine.

Ran into issues with the AC. Not really cooling all that great. I ended up putting a pusher fan on which seems to have helped. I may take it to a different shop as the first place I took it to doesn't really seem to know what they are doing. I have taken it back about 5-6 times now. I think its possible that it has a bad high pressure switch. I have lost faith in having this shop work on it. Its not that I have high standards but several bolts weren't even tightened under the hood and also the steering wheel was loose from when he swapped out the cruise control lever from the one I installed cause it was bad. I did do a few thing over the past few weeks. Put new AC vents in. Fixed and organized wiring under the dash(shop left it a mess). Replaced the LED flasher lights on the dash, shortened the glove box, tinted windows, added an air horn(really loud), put a hidden receiver hitch on it. Also hit a 1000 miles on the odometer this week.

Looks good. Looks like you modified the glove box depth with hot glue like I did on my 48 truck build. Vintage air now supplies a plastic shallow glove box with their AD kits.
