The shifter plate looks great.....it almost looks illuminated. What method did you use to get the blue into the engraving so perfectly?

Thanks Cap. The paint I'm using is OneShots which is a sign painting/lettering paint, and then some various spraypaints. I did the black base on the cover, then hit it with a med/med-thin coat of clear and waited a day or so for it to harden. I took the OneShots and got it kinda cold so it thickened, then used a long thin lettering brush to do the letters. Quickly I came back with a rag coated in thinner and made a little pommel, and wiped away any extra paint that was on the surface. Then I cleared over the whole thing once it dried.

The OneShots is a very opaque, vibrant color, and against the black does look like it luminesces. (Also the camera was a little sweaty which probably adds to the look lol).

No problem Cap (I've also got your P/S bracket on my list of build updates to add ;) )

Got a pile of stuff from the parts man this morning. Painted up my backing plates and could start to test fit the bottle mounting in the bed.

Made some adjustments to the Qa1's in the rear trying to dial travel vs ride height. I might still need to raise the springs a bit, but empty at this weight the new settings have improved the feel a lot.

This little carbon plate is the basis for the nitrous switch panel/controls that I'm putting together.

Laid out the switches back on the carbon panel and drilled it to accept them.

Then I started getting the Nitrous Express plate kit going. Pulled off the stock TB and tested out the fitment of the plate body.

The stock studs didn't fit with the extra length of the plate, and since my kit was obtained new-used, I didn't have the included studs the kit would give you. I just measured the thread and made some new studs from matching rod.

The nitrous plate the throttle body bolted back down with the new studs. The TB and everything still clear the engine cover neatly. The top portion of the cover is the tightest, but doesn't hit the plate and still leaves room for the hoses and fittings that need to connect to it.

I've had a persistent power steering leak for a while now. The input shaft on my old steering box seeped incessantly so it was due to a replacement. I figured it was a good time to ditch the stack-o-washers and update to the CaptainFab bracket.

Moved forward with some work on the switch panel, getting it drilled on the carbon and marking the underlaying panel to be trimmed.

My nitrous solenoids came in, and Summit made a lil error in my favor! I ordered a setup of Nitrous Express solenoids; when the order showed up, my n20 noid was the ProMod version (the all aluminum body).

Took a few moments and bend/welded/drilled a little bracket to hold my solenoids up and back out of the way on the rear of the motor.

More photo updates coming to get you guys to speed, but for those of you that like my video uploads, here's a little state-of-the-truck.

Wanted to get some backlogged pics up from the ongoing stuff.

Got that bracket mounted up and placed the noids. The lines tucked under the motor cover pretty well, and I got the purge bent up to the cowl. Because I'm using the car nitrous plate, I made a blockoff for the EVAP solenoid so the lines could run clean to the plate.

Here's the lines under the engine cover. They tucked pretty well and managed to lay flat enough as to not interfere with any of the other stuff in the area.

Got back to work on the wiring for the nitrous switch panel and its relays.

Also got around to finally boxing in those hood mounts I did a while back. Finally doesn't flex at all any more, cleans up the look a bit, and still has an open bottom to allow for access to the bolts.

Because of the odd shape and articulation of my bed floor, I've gone thru a few variants of wheel tub design to accommodate it. The first one I did way back was too thin and looked flimsy upon install.

This time I went with a matching-gauge aluminum and tried a more angular polygonal approach. It leaves the bed more usable and gives a little more protection. I've got a few attachment ideas, but I may not even stick with this design as things move forward. I've become so used to no wheel covers that the look has grown on me. :uhmk:

Dug out my old front D52 calipers since I'll be re purposing them for the rear disc swap. Cleaned them up good, then came back with caliper paint to protect them and give them a look germane to that of the front brakes.

Oh hell yea! My new rear wheels have finally showed up! Holeshot Racing Wheels 15x11 3-piece aluminum wheels. Waited nearly 6 weeks for these to get made, then shipped, but from what I've heard lately thats not insane for special order race wheels.

The change in width allows me to keep the same tire, but change the backspace a bit and better allow for the D52 brake conversion I'm setting up for. Black spun aluminum hoop with a gold center section.

I do like the gold. On the lug nuts, if you have any plating shops in your area, you might be able to have the chrome stripped and then have them yellow zinc plated.

Re: Br3w City's Project omgwtfbbq

Yea thats a good thought Cap. I've got a guy that does ceramicoating and powder for us, I should ask about Zinc. They have actually been gun blued to a copper-ish color for now. I'll put some pics up soon.

Also, I got those fine thread nuts. Thanks for shooting them over to me.

Re: Br3w City's Project omgwtfbbq

The ceramic coating might hold up also if the chrome is removed and maybe sand blasted. Is it Cerakote?

Its either Cerakote or Jet Hot, I can't remember exactly. I'll be in touch with him later this week and find out.

Thanks Cap. I've had a handful of people reaching out on the vid to ask about your brackets, and I've pointed them to your threads.

I'm just waiting for all of my stuff to come back from coatings, and my axles to be redrilled, then on the the install portion.

Haven't put anything up since I had started the disk brake install (what feels like forever ago). We did get it finished up, and got around to filming some of it.

Don't archive me yet Lostmy65 lol! I'm still around, I just don't have much chance to use the forums anymore. As usual a few times a year, we did a thing! Finally got around to painting the bed so its all one color again.
