I'm in for this. Good job on the door repair. Looks like it took forever pulling.

Thanks! I took the door panel off and started beating and prying with a jack handle. Now I have to take the door off so I can hammer and dolly it flatter. The plan is to smooth it pretty close, then put filler on it and then spray white primer in the 2 tone area. I am going to try to leave the other gray areas survivor until I know what my end result needs to be.

My bag brackets are being shipped now, so im hoping in a couple days I'll have a temporary bag system up front done for a cruise in this Saturday. I'll probably have the truck in the air and ready for brackets to go in.... when they make it to the door.

Looking good! Did you find the leak?

Before bags I measured 30.25 on driver front fender and now its 26.5. Passenger was 31 and now 26.25. I didn't trim the cups at all. Seems I can trim them 1/2 an inch and I think that would be an inch of drop if I did it. The plan is to go with 3 inch drop spindles since I have the heavy duty rotors. Right now I can put 90 psi in to lift the front and enough air to lift an inch it rides pretty good. I tried 2 inches of air and it was stiffer so im thinking 1.5 inches of lift should be ideal.

Sure didn't, I aired both sides up 2 inches and drove home....parked it. One side is still up like I left it Saturday and other side is all the way aired out. I've been busy painting my son's room and haven't had a chance to check into it.

If you look at the hose on the passenger side, that was where I should have left it. since that pic, and before I put the wheels on, I pushed the hose to the other side so it can be strapped down. As you can see that would have loosened the fitting and possibly created small leak. My plan is to pull hose back toward wheel and shoot some kind of sealer around the fitting to stop the leak. The minor leak wouldn't take much to stop. I think after that, I should be able to air the truck up and it should stay up a couple months like my other trucks ive done this to.

Thanks to John (68Timber) for letting me use his idea and his paint! Looks like the can was $4.99 at Hobby Lobby. Sprayed the spare needle that's going to replace my broken one and i'll spray the others when I get a chance.

Anyone know a trick to take off peeling clear coat? As in clear coat pealing off like on my passenger side fender?

Looking good! I see you haven't added your manhole cover yet - here's one with a nice price: LINK. Maybe put a hinge on it like a submarine hatch, just for grins n giggles?

If you are sanding it to reshoot the clear I would use something like an 800 grit to sand it off.

cool, John! I don't know, im thinking more Chevrolet script 53 truck caps....smooth and chrome. I still have to actually measure the hole and do some research on what will fit. I used one of my wife's plastic dish's out of the cabinet! LOL

I was hoping to hear about something I could spray on that will loosen or eat the clear but wouldn't hurt the gray underneath. Ive heard razor blade scraping was a common way to flake the clear off.

I figured as many paintjobs ive ruined using stuff out of a bottle that was supposed to "bring back the paint".... surely someone know what will ruin the clear coat! ;)

got my Forever Sharp steering wheel and adaptor for $141 off ebay, and it was a breeze to put on! I don't even think it took 10 mins.

My first thought was to use a differential cover. Might not be anything you would consider, but I thought I would throw it out there.
