Re: 1988 Crew Cab shortbed overhaul
Im working on suspension parts now trying to find the best springs to install on the truck. I contacted Deavers yesterday and figure out a 10 leaf pack for a 4" lift. Id like to stay with 35" tires on the truck.

Good progress. What's deaver want for a set of their springs? I liked those bilstein shocks on my old K10 with the extended hoop up front from an F250.

$700 an axle, seems high. Ive got a couple of buddies sponsored by them that i was gonna talk to today and see.

Re: 1988 Crew Cab shortbed overhaul
I spent some time yesterday ordering the correct fuel system and trying to figure out the correct way to get fittings on the fuel sending unit. I want a nice flaring tool for 37* flares. Guess I'll try the rigid brand one.

Called Energy suspension and got the right cab bushing kit. I went ahead and got new bolts and washers since they don't come in kit.

what you using for undercoat?
|
Re: 1988 Crew Cab shortbed overhaul
I think I'll just use the 3m pro paintable undercoating. I cleaned it with PPG metal cleaner today. Im not very good on chemicals and metal coatings so Im learning daily.
