Even with all the cussing about sanding and welding the firewall it sure turned out killer... And I got my new pulleys, new oil pan,new timing chain and dipsticks on and I thought it was going back in for good but its been out a few times since.cover

Amen on how long it takes to shave the firewall and cap the channel. Hours of welding and grinding, the your result looks good. I still have a lot more welding and grinding, then filling and sanding to go. The look is worth the work. Good Job!

ya more progress........ vacation rocks.. I decided that I needed wider tubs to clear the wide rear tires I d like to run. So I broke out the cuttin wheel and zipped em apart and added some metal from donar tubs I had and welded em back together.

I cut the inside of the bed to make way for the future wheel and tire combo and finally installed my new intake (from mike nutt thanks.)and new valve covers. When I tried to install the carb the fuel outlet ran into the side of the valve cover so it looks like I ll have to look at other options.

Got my notch built and welded up. I f I had to do it agian Id just order the countoured notch as doing it this way is a pain but I thought it would be easier ya right. I have to go back in and final weld the notch and make my boxing plates and make sure everything is safe. For some reason in the pics the notch holes that I cut look huge but they are really pretty tight on the notch.

Re: Project 7deuce

Got most of the notch finished before I ran out of wire for the welder hopefully someone will be open today.. I cut the bed center out and dropped the bed back on but the tires hit the inside of the bedsides so it will need to be trimmed to fit. Also the truck arms hit the frame so I m gonna have to decide where to put my bags and since I ordered drop spindals for the front I may need to adda block in the rear. Thanks for the comments guys and frizz get those headders installed so I can order a set...

No Need to wait on me. Jkade already had them installed without issue. Just a little frame trimage according to him. I'm shopping for mufflers now. Looking at 50 series flows...
