Thanks guys. Sorry about the late response, had a lot of other stuff going on and couldn't get around to get on here. K10, I know those are shallow, but could a regular depth sub fit without having the box come out a lot more? That's similar to what I was going to build, but I was going to incorporate the 6x9s into the upper edge of the box.

What do you think about a box in the bed with a pass-through port? Something I've considered on more than one occasion. Like this: http://i274.photobucket.com/albums/j...2E06A333B7.jpg

I used 1/2" board and have less than 1/4" between the back of the sub and the box. My subs are a little less than 4 inches deep, and I would say that is close to the max with no seat issues, but I also run 2009 GMC seats which are thicker. I would say you can fit a 6in deep sub in and move the seat only a little. I might suggest some 8in subs. If I did it again I would probably go with 4 8s.

I like those door panels, but do they make them for trucks with manual windows, or do you have to do an electric motor conversion?

With these panels you will have to switch to power windows and Fesler interior door handles.

Re: Gas tank out, sub box in?

I just thought about something else: what if the sub was firing down? How wide is the bottom of you guys's boxes? could a twelve fire down with no issues? K10, wish I could go to a console and buckets, but I have to haul three people sometimes, so I need that bench. I believe it's the 2nd row bench out of a '92 Suburban. I'm not positive, but I think that's what my dad said he put in there to replace the stock seats. Does that help anybody? Thanks!
