Keeps getting better!
Side mirrors are a huge improvement.

Thanks guys!

I need to paint the interior plastics next weekend & then I can put it all together.

The truck is probably going to be on rally's for this year.
The 17's tires are shot & I don't want to run those wheels anyways.
I have the original factory rally's for this truck so I plan putting tires on them soon.
The budget probably won't allow cool big wheels at this time.

Cool truck and neat story! Sorry to hear about your dad's health. Do you have any more pics or details on the fuel full setup? That's a nice alternative to exterior body work.

It looks like one of these that you might find at a restaurant.

JWall 03-13-2013 05:10 PM

Re: 1 Owner 1976 SWB

It is a restaurant supply pan. Correct.

It has a blazer tank between the rear frame rails with a custom built filler neck.
The pan was added because the neck needed more height to be able to fill the gas tank with fast flowing gas pumps.
Before he raised it you could only pump gas very slowly.

Cool! We almost got the exact same wheel for my son's truck. He decided on one from Fover Sharp that we got on eBay.

Wow! I'm liking this one. The interior and the mirrors really change the look of the truck. The rallies will look really nice.

Got the kick panels in, carpet finished up, latch side of the seat belts in & then got the seat in...

Nice work on the truck Justin. You are making a truck that was already a 10 into a 12. I feel bad for all the people here that only get to see the truck in pictures, because trust me it looks 10 times better in person! I can't wait to go for a ride. Between you and Ryan I need to get some square body seat time since mine is all tore down. Keep up the good work and timeless choices you are making.

I didnt get the final trim piece in this week so I couldnt finish up the the trim & headliner... but I did get a couple very small things done.

I got the steering wheel on...
Attachment 1082049

And changed the clear front marker lights to amber lenses. It makes them blend in & become less noticable...

Also I took a look at the stock center caps & trim rings & they need some attention but I think i can make them work...

I'd love for all this stuff to work since they are original.

Heres a cap after some polishing but still not done...

Attachment 1082052

I just hit one spot on a trim ring to see how they would come out... I think I can make them work too...

I like the amber lenses much better. What are you polishing the center caps and rings with?
