My computer is mounted behind the gauge cluster and the harness goes through the firewall below the intake so it's barely visible. The fuse box will be under the dash as well.

I used the truck harness that came with my 5.3 LY5. I took it apart and shorten to fit my truck mounted ECM & TCM inside the firewall by the original A/C box. You can see the harness going through the fire wall to the added on extra small fuse box i don't like to see wires when i open the hood.

very clean! :metal:

What is the rubber wire flex-conduit from?

I mounted the ECM under the dash mounted to the brake pedal bracket. I used the hole that was for the clutch linkage for the wiring harness. It is the factory length harness.

I always use truck harnesses. I mount the PCM under the driver side front fender. There's pics of them in my build threads. This is my Blazer, but its kind of hard to see the harness in pics.

My Blazer has a factory 67-72 auxiliary battery tray, but I have cut the right side ones apart and rewelded them back together the opposite way to fit the other side before. The auxiliary tray is easier if you can find one though.

I don't have a part number, but i just measured the o.d. of the harness and the i.d. of the hole on the firewall and ordered several close sizes from McMaster Carr. They are cheap. The hardest part was stretching it over the ECM connectors.

I cut my original apart and swapped the sides. Thanks for the idea!
