 I know exactly what you mean; washing the windshield is a two-handed job.

I'm definitely digging the homemade hood -- nice work!

That's what I was thinking. I'd still take it over a Ford. :chevy:

haha it still ran and drove just fine but it had no brakes but i needed the motor so i yanked at and now it sits in my truck with a mild cam and headers with and edelbrock carb and intake

Re: 1988 chevy resto project

what all did you have to do to go carbed?

I have an intake and carb. Did you use a mech fuel pump or the electric one?

loudnlifted88 09-03-2010 03:33 PM

Re: 1988 chevy resto project

im running the fuel pump on the side on the motor the mech one and i didnt convert the truck to carb'd when i bought it it was carb'd i just went with the flow and put another carb'd motor in it i still have all the wiring there to go to tbi but i like carb'd better

also did some more work on my hood now i just need to fill in the back and add bondo... the hood is still going on my chevy but i had it on my gmc to make it match the windsheild... it was the closes 88-98 vehicle i had around... because my other truck isnt home

Since I am a welder and a fabricator... I am going to give this a shot... I am going to do something different and we shall see if it passes my wuality control...

I am thinking a different looking and different way of mounting it... I will leave the rest as a surprise and guys can compare my hood to yours.. Cheers for the idea! Good luck on the build man!

that cowl hood looks awsome man. i think you gave me an idea for my truck. beats spending a few hundred buck when you can do it yourself.
