The best thing to use for that is a "Dewalt 12" Slide Compound Miter Box". Don't put a Dado Blade in it cause you loose to much of your weiner's.

After seeing a kid in high school lose all his fingers on a table saw I was very nervous using one for years. I want that saw, now if they could do the same with a jointer then I would be buying a pair.

exactly. seems the exact same tech. could be used on a jointer. think they'll have a whole line someday? I need something that'll catch the chuck of my 16" drill when it comes off!

I have a feeling someday all tools will be like that.. Well anything that can cut your finger off.. I am sure they can do something like that in a chop saw but without retracting the blade.. If I could I would love that saw if it were portable...
