My office is in OKC, but I got the truck in Washington at our family's shop in Washington. I got 12000 sq ft and a building full of tools to do the nasty work. No room right now at our current location in the city. My Blazer is also down there. Give me a call sometime and stopped by.

Mike

Joe

You live in Norman and don't know where Washington, OK is? It is 10 miles south on I-35 and Hwy 74 and 5 miles South of Goldsby.

Mike, I don't know what I was thinking, for some reason I thought you were jet-setting across the U.S. to work on these projects, lol feel like a tool!
I know where Washington is, we lived there for a couple years, moved from there 6+ years ago to Alaska, just moved back to Norman. We lived right on the corner (across the street from the community center) before you cross the old bridge, going out of town.

Small update: Parts have been coming in steadily for the truck. Frame is going out for blasting Monday and will be painted this week. Some of the parts that arrived this week is the rear fuel tank conversion kit, ECE hidden hitch, Advanced Adapters conversion kit (will let you guess what it fits for a few days until the new tranny arrives;)). I will have more pics in a few days.

I won't show all the pics, but here is the one you want to see. Freshly painted semi-gloss frame.

That kind of squigly line on the tunnel to the rear of the transfer case lever. It's been awhile since I had my seat out so it may be standard on all trucks, I just don't remember it.

mine has same, it is a small hump truck, though. http://satellitehead.com/gallery/dis...album=11&pos=4

Just subscribing so I can watch this build take place.

Can I put a guess in on what the AA adapter kit fits? LOL

Frame looks excellent Mike.

Didn't get to work on the truck much this weekend, wife graduated RN school. Thursdays progress yielded install of ECE hidden hitch, rear bumper and Blazer tank mock install. Waiting for brake lines and intermediate wire harness to show up next. Will probably make the fuel line. Oh, and as for the mystery tranny, its a NV4500. This will make the truck much more driver friendly and better MPG's.

That's great. I wanted to do that also but opted for the 700r4. I am a little lazy.

Truck was already a 4 speed, so it made staying a manual a little easier.

Mike - you are doing great work. I can't wait to get her home and start driving again. Per our earlier discussion on booster cable systems, I found the following options:

http://www.northerntool.com/webapp/w...70_43494_43494

or

http://www.gemplers.com/product/G522...Cable-Assembly

I actually like the design of the cheaper one from Northern Tool. Both are 30 feet. I searched the boards and could not find any info on jumper/booster cable systems. Let me know what you think.

I was in a local yard Saturday and 2 of the 4 trucks had it, 2 of them didn't.

Go figure.

I'm currently really tired, so it looked like you installed a wooden rear bumper. Boy did that wake me up!

Mike - I got a high hump cover (with no holes) on it's way to you from west Texas. You should get it by mid-next week, if not earlier - found it on the boards. Regarding the steering column - what should I expect to pay for that, assuming I find a complete 67-72 steering column from a manual tranny truck that came stock w/power steering? Thanks!

From $50-$100 for non-tilt, to $300 with tilt.

Well the truck is not painted yet, but here is the quality of finish the owner will be looking foward to getting when we get to that point. This is a '57 HT we painted this week.

Still working on getting the drive line cleaned, painted and reassembled back into the chassis of the truck.

Thanks, I really need to hire someone to get a bunch more products online. I have thousands of parts numbers, but have had no time to load them with all the projects in the shop now.
