You do know the factory air cleaner and tube done the exact same thing the high price tube you got now is doing, except it pulled air from the fender behind the parklight. That's how my 88 is, only thing that setup you bought does, is smooth out the path for sure and look better, definately for sure on that one lol.

loudnlifted88 yes i got them off e bay and they work great. i just had to extend the wire a bit that is all.

benoit454 i know but the stock filters are restrictive. i got a great deal on the cold air intake on e bay. $39.00 shipped to my door. i couldn't pass it up when everyone else wants a $160.00 to $300.00. i plan on making a box that will draw the air from the factork location. probably this week ,if i can get up my uncle shop to use his break and bender.

54,

The truck is looking good. I like what you did with those lenses. I still have the truck, and its got a maroon interior which is in good shape. If you need anything else let me know.

well got some new skins for the truck and picked up a set of 2000 chevy wheels off my uncle. also got an a pillar guage pod. still have to pickup a tach to fill the second hole. i love the new wheels on this body style truck. also had to replace the rear i was making noise. dam it is hard to find a 3.73 rear for these trucks. while i was replaceing the rear i added a few leafs and 2in block to the rear. new shocks and a flowmaster muffler too. she sits and rides a lot better.

well last week i hit a deer with my truck on the way into work. i was lucky it only caught the driver side of the bumper and didn't even touch the grill. so the deer bent the bumper and brackets. so i guess it was time for me to put the tractor trailer bumper on the truck. this is my progress so far after a lot of cutting and welding. beats spending 600 dollars for a similar bumper. all it cost me was a little time and a few dollard in cutting wheels. i still have to cut and weld the filler plates for the top. oh and paint it black.

I know this is kind of reviving a semi-dead thread, but I have a question. When you put the 33's on, was your truck stock height in the front and did the tires rub? Or were the t-bars cranked?

Re: my 90 ext cab 4x4 fixer upper

truck was stock height. they rubbed only at full lock. they rub a little when turning on the pass side inner fender but my cab is a little tweeked on the frame. the driver side didn't rub the inner fender except at full lock. the back of my truck has two leafs added and a 2in block.

Was asking because I'm probably gonna put 32's on my '88 Chevy, and it sits stock. If I have to, I'll put blocks in the back, and crank the t-bars then get it realigned. I just wanted to know if I would have a clearance issue leaving it stock height.

might have a little rub on the front.

I figured so. If I have to, like I said I'll just crank the t-bars and have it re-aligned. Or just crank t-bars and wait on alignment lol because the truck's not tagged and doesn't go anywhere except move around the yard and down the road every now and then

Looks good man. Looks real good. Lol by the way, I wanted to ask. What'd it take for that semi truck front bumper to fit?

Re: my 90 ext cab 4x4 fixer upper

had to make my own brackets to fit in the stock location. oh and lots of cutting, bending and welding. lol. thanks i can't wait to see it in it's new coat of international harvester red. paint cost me $49.93. that was paint, hardener, and thinner. i love tractor supply.

Re: my 90 ext cab 4x4 fixer upper
