how are the taillights done?

1sik7t2 02-17-2011 08:35 PM

Re: project "DIRTY BURB"

DINS 1 crappy, by me....i took the light pockets cut and tilted them back on the top so it would be flush,,,, problem is the huge gap between the body and the lites has to be redone,,,will not last this way i saw a member here with an idea i had 2, put the truck lights on ...i'd just leave off the back up lens

Re: project "DIRTY BURB"

That would be hart+rob. The truck tail light is sick the way he did it.

interested to know what you did to narrow the front?

1sik7t2 02-18-2011 11:51 PM

Re: project "DIRTY BURB"

narrowed it 1-3/4" both sides my buddy cut out the ball joints and moved them in ----- works wonders most guys have to "cali style the front to turn,,,not me 1 1/2" off the ground make u turn,,, had to weld a stop on the tie rod so i didnt turn 2 much....

Re: project "DIRTY BURB"

Hard to tell exactly, but, is that a hinge or hinges on the rear tailgate, so to swing it open like a old wagon...cool mod, but the exterior hinges would be an eye sore in my opinion. Really like the flush tail light lenses with deleted backup lenses!! Cool rendering!!

1sik7t2 02-19-2011 03:17 PM

Re: project "DIRTY BURB"

bud the hinges are wrong on it didnt notice until i payed 4 it mines a tailgate/hatch hinges are in the stock local theres a few other suttle mods...good luck

Re: project "DIRTY BURB"

Sik burb!
Was wondering what you've done to the frame. Is it stock, square tube, backhalfed? Did you body drop it or does the body just naturally sit that close to the ground just with bagging it?
