Yep - Code F Blue Mist Poly (Marina Blue).

Not my first choice, but it's the original color.

Lots of nice Buicks. Man, I wish I had kept my 70 Stage I. It's tough to look at these without kicking myself.

I agree with you on that. It's just to bad GM only had it on their A-Body's for only 66 & 67.

Thanks Mark! The idea is to get this one from heeling over like a bulldog on a fire hydrant so I can drive it for a while.

Not sure why they got away from that. Another thing that amazes me that never made a comeback is the side fender lines on a 69 Camaro. Those cues are iconic, I'm amazed they haven't leveraged them.

Oh, not much really. I bought some springs, shocks and sway bars from Hotchkiss back during their Christmas sale, same with UMI - bought control arms and rear trailing arms from them. Bought a new aluminum radiator from Champion to replace the leaking original, replaced all the belts and hoses, alternator and steering box, detailed the engine and what not. I'll be replacing drums with disk brakes here soon, bought another set of tires and wheels for her.

Once again I agree on the Camaro too. When the new Camaros came out they kept saying how it was based on the 69 Camaro, but yet the new one"s "fender line" were missing. I think GM missed the mark on that one!

I'm a big fan of Buicks. One of the best cars I ever owned was a 1-owner 1967 Riviera GS with 60K miles on it. Nearly flawless, an absolute unmolested time capsule. I loved that car and think about it often.

I had a lapse of judgement and sold it to a guy who had been hounding me to sell it for a long time.

I have always thought that the '66-'67 Skylarks are some of the most beautiful, under-appreciated cars of the mid-60s. The styling was first-class, and their interiors were always nicer than the other A-bodys from Chevy, Pontiac, and Olds. And I love the back window and roof sails. That is, unless you have to put a rear window into one or have to do rust repair back there!!

I finished up Ruth's Spring update. Installed the front and rear sways, rear springs, rear shocks. Spruced up the engine compartment a bit during the radiator install. Pix...

Original front sway vs new unit. There was no sway bar on the back.

Thanks, Kyle. Had to before someone smoked me out. :smoke:

I am surprised at how high the rear is. With one inch lowering springs it's still at the stock height. I haven't changed the front springs or shocks yet because I want to drive her for a while before I tear the front end all apart and install the front disks and the rest of the stuff.

As you can probably tell, this pic was taken in Bethany, OK, which is a suburb on the west side of Oklahoma City. Route 66 just happens to be Main St in this town too. I've noticed this mural before and as I was passing through I thought it would be a cool background.
