Hey guys, sorry its been a lil bit. I got sick and family stuff so I'm still finishing the small things so I can start the engine for the first time. I have a pic of the drivers side header on and one of the air breathers for the valve covers. In the last few days I've been wiring the fuel pump and rewiring the starter. I'll try to take pics of what I've done later today.

uh oh! Well at least you got it fired off. I've done a good bit to mine since the last update, but since no one replies I don't update anymore.

I understand! I did a little more to the truck this past weekend. I believe my carb is causing the engine to flood really bad. Will be doing some checks to fix the problem

dang! i somehow i missed all the engine assembly. the engine looks nice. i lie those valve covers on the older trucks.

at least you are working on a holley. they are pretty easy to tune. at least for me. i get nervous and twitchy around the spreadbore stuff. to many little springs and rods and seats and, and, and...

I sure did! the Holley carb I was using was flooding the engine bad. Switched carbs and it finally started idling like it should. Next is change the oil just to be on the safe side in case gas got in the oil. Then its time to finish the small things:metal:

Re: Project "Colonel"

Update- The carb is not my issue. My electric fuel pump is what is causing my issues. I have to get a regulator then I should be ok.
