Re: 1988 Gmc crew cab build
I think that's the Evil Twin or American Force adaptors. Which cost like $1300.

Re: 1988 Gmc crew cab build
Interior looks good! Are those new door panels or refinished ? How's that steering wheel? I was looking at that 1 or the darker stain 1.
|
Re: 1988 Gmc crew cab build
Nice work! You will be real happy once that 12V is in there.
|
Re: 1988 Gmc crew cab build
Had to refinsh the door panels because you cant buy new ones foe the rear doors and fronts are not the same, Like the new wheel too
|
Re: 1988 Gmc crew cab build
How did u fix/repair/refinish the door pull moldings? I want to delete the straps also.
|
Re: 1988 Gmc crew cab build
The front door has new ones from lmc and the back I found in a 91 suburban,
Can"t realy buy much for the back doors thats new |
Re: 1988 Gmc crew cab build
Well done on the interior.
|
Re: 1988 Gmc crew cab build
What type of paint did u use for all panels? Where and how much did u use? I need to refinish mine and do a complete color change
|
Re: 1988 Gmc crew cab build
The interer die was from the local body paint suply store at $90 a quart and it took 2 quarts , recovered the head liner, Seats from a 2004 chevy avalanche ,
New carpet kit from lmc , sound deading matt the hole floor and Roof , the a layer of jute padding all floor and back panle , It is so much quieter going down the road now sooooo happy close to $1800 on the inside |
Re: 1988 Gmc crew cab build
The rear seat belts that are attached to the floor did they come out of the Avalanche as well or did you get them from somewhere else? I just put Tahoe seats in my crew cab and the original seat belt is too wide for the Tahoe receiving end and I see yours are skinny. Thanks

Re: 1988 Gmc crew cab build
Looks just like one off a 5.3. Best bet would be to get on a Cummins site and ask.
|
Re: 1988 Gmc crew cab build
Well what year is the motor? Why cant u just look up the year dodge it came out off and that would give u the part number for that
Did u try orilys or autozone search? Say its a dodge than 1995 than diesel than.... just asking |
Re: 1988 Gmc crew cab build
The problem is the stock one is sprong the wrong way
|
Re: 1988 Gmc crew cab build
Your interior looks amazing! I am getting closer to starting on the interior on my 86 crew cab project, I have 98 cloth seats from a crew cab I was gong to use but am a little concerned about the rear leg room with a crew cab rear seat. Was thinking about using an extended cab rear seat instead as I believe the bottom isnt as wide. My 87 suburban has adequate leg room and I know its got a few more inches than the stock crew cab had. Do you like how much leg room you have on the rear seat? Also does the rear seat fold down flat?
|
Re: 1988 Gmc crew cab build
with people sitting in the back you have to move the front seats up , the exsended cab seats would have worked better and easer to put in
