Thanks, 1" forward lowers? I'll have to look into this. I'm assuming to center the wheel up in the well?

It does but it was done to improve caster mainly. Mine drives like it's a 1/2 ton sport truck. Originally I built the lower arms & shifted them .750" forward for the same reason.

So turns out my lower brackets let the bag sit up too high.

I got some short cups that I'm going to install on the bottom and hopefully get another 3" or so out of it.

Yeah you're definitely giving up a few inches with those lower plates.

There's a simple mod where you can shift your lower arms forward about .75". I'm not sure how well it would work with bags, but springs work just fine with the offset. I only moved mine forward 1/2" because I didn't want to do a lot of clearancing on the arms and it still made a noticeable difference in handling. Moving the wheel forward was just an added bonus. It wasn't by much but it was noticeable to my scrutinizing eye. Here's a link to the mod: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=501241

Thanks for the link, I like the mod on the last page with the dude cutting the lower arms up. This would make sense for the bags to stay straight when aired out.

Been super busy with work and working on my other ****.
Anyone have a cloning machine?

Drove it to the shop so at least I'd be reminded of it everyday. First time driving this thing on the road since I bought it. Also noticed my bed sits crooked.

Driving it on the road motivated me and I hoped having it parked at the shop would get me to work on it.

It worked, front clip swap.

Cool, I'm originally from Fresno. Moved out here 4 years ago. All my family is still there.

Yeah, that's one of the things I like about these trucks, still able to find them in junkyards.
