67' means 67 feet '67 means you've put ' in place of something left out.
You probably want an open knuckle and disk brakes which eliminates diffs before 71, but you can use a diff from 71-87, or a Blazer/Suburban up to 91.

I'm teasing a little bit... but here you go ...

All the 71-87(truck) and 71-91 Blazer/Suburban front axle assemblies are the same width. At some point in the early 70s they went to Full Time 4WD. They aslo went to mertic bolts and brake fittings in the late 70s / early 80s

Thanks for the info....so dumb question...are all Dana 44s the same width, or do I need to ensure I find one (if I go that direction) from a 67'-72' K20 to ensure everything is in the correct spot?

I look forward to getting settled in Austin and meeting up with MikeC as he has much more experience building these old trucks with 4wd than I do!

Unfortunately for you (But fortunately for me) Dana 44's have come in dozens of widths and have been installed under every American manufactured 4x4 over the 70 plus years they have been manufactured. There is lots of information on the interweb about them and while Dana 44's are tough, they are not the ultimate, so there's always someone looking to upgrade. Selling their good Dana 44 to offset the cost of the upgrade is usually part of the process.
