I like the silver because it shows the slots better than black.

I intended to do something along the same lines with VW wheel clips. I'll have to take a look at the '45s. :c2:

Hey guys-thinking about changing up my rims/tires for my 69 stock (drum brakes) height. What's the biggest set of rims I can buy? are 22" too big? I honestly don't know.

Any advice would be great. Thanks!

Mr C,

Your truck looks fantastic! Are those 16's 5" wide? The 235/85's look good on them.

Thanks NC67chev they are 6" wide. I had bought some 15" disc brake wheels I would use if I could not locate the 16's but I got lucky.

It all depends on what tickles your fancy. I personally like big wheels with lo-pro tires. I run 20/22's on my blazer and 22/24's on my shortbox. I think that big wheels only really look good if the truck is lowered.
Here's some pics.

cool! good to see what those size roms would look like on my truck (hard to picture with them sitting in the store!). is your blazer lowered or stock height?

Re: Show off your 6 lug wheels

The Blazer is lowered. Approximately 5" front and 7" in the rear.

Here's my 69 with stock rims and caps.

I do have a set of 15 x 8 Rally's for it. No sense in putting on wider tires for the winter here in upstate NY.
