Hey captain im looking at putting a 14 bolt sf 6 lug axle under my 61 crew cab. Still working everything out. The 14 bolt measures about 3.33 on the axle tube. Will the new mounts accommodate this bigger size? Thanks

Re: Trailing Arm Mounts

I don't know why the trailing arm mounts I make for the 14 bolt wouldn't work on your 14 bolt. I haven't had any complaints of them not fitting.

Hey Captain,
You sold me. I will take one set for a dana 60. Rear was out of a 69 with leaf springs. Measures identical but required much grinding!
M/O mailed today.
Thanks
Billy

Here is one of the threads here on the forum that shows in detail how to weld on trailing arm mounts at the correct angle on a leaf spring differential.

Re: Trailing Arm Mounts

Do you make anything to adapt the trailing arm u-bolt holes/mounts on the C20
with an HO 52 when swapping in a 12 bolt with a smaller axle tube?

Captainfab 08-28-2018 12:10 AM

Re: Trailing Arm Mounts

The spacing of the U-bolt holes thru the trailing arms are the same whether they are under a C10 or a C20. So absolutely nothing special required. If you need a set of trailing arm mounts for a 12 bolt, I have those.

FatherandSon 08-28-2018 01:04 AM

Re: Trailing Arm Mounts

Maybe I'm not seeing something clearly but the axle tube on the HO52 is bigger than the axle tube on the 12 bolt. Accordingly the U-bolts and corresponding trailing arm holes are wider than the 12 bolt axle tube. Right?

FatherandSon 08-28-2018 01:16 AM

Re: Trailing Arm Mounts

I suppose it's not critical if the U-bolts and holes are wider if the mount cutout is the correct circumference for the 12 bolt. Is that how you see it?

FatherandSon 08-28-2018 01:22 AM

Re: Trailing Arm Mounts

Do you make panhard bar mounts as well?

Captainfab 08-28-2018 11:45 PM

Re: Trailing Arm Mounts

As I said above.....the trailing arm holes for the u-bolts are the same spacing whether they are for a C10 or a C20.....no difference. I have made and sold a lot of trailing arm mounts and they all have the same u-bolt hole spacing.

No I do not yet make a panhard bar mount. I have been trying but working 80 hrs/7 days a week every week every month doesn't leave much time to develop new products.

Re: Trailing Arm Mounts

Due to an increase in the cost of having my parts laser cut, I have been forced to raise my prices. I'm not making any more money, just trying to stay in business with these increases in my costs. Thanks for understanding.

Re: Trailing Arm Mounts

on a h052 Swap to 14 ff 72 c20 rear coil truck will the truck arms need the hole moved for a wider axle tube fit ?

Captainfab 07-02-2021 09:54 PM

Re: Trailing Arm Mounts

No the holes remain exactly the same as original. With the 14 bolt, there needs to be a slight groove put into the axle tubes on both sides so that the u-bolts will pass by and line up with the holes. This groove does not need to be more than probably 3/4" long. The 14 bolt axle tubes are 3/8" thick, so this does not present an issue.

I do now offer a panhard bar mount for the 14 bolt.
