Been really looking at Belltech 3in drop spindles and a DJM 5in flip kit for out back. What do you think, will that clear me from rubbing, what do you think man, really appreciate it:metal:

Here is my 87 with 3" drop Belltech spindles and one coil cut and flip kit out back. I'm running 8" rallies with 255/70s in all four corners. I do rub on hard dips. You are only dropping it 3" so I'm going to say you'll be alright. At a minimum, you'll rub on hard dips only. Since you already have the tires, just do it. You can always buy shorter tires later. Just my 2 cents.

Thanks for the response, and Im really diggin that truck:metal:

The spindles are Belltech and the flip kit is McGaughy's. I also cut half a coil (sorry, I said one coil before) on the front for a 4" drop. Also had to trim the lower control arm to clear the rallies. Out back the flip kit dropped it 6". I left the stock shocks up front but put shorter shocks out back (sorry don't have the p/n for those). I also took off the bump stop with extender off out back and installed a regular 1 1/2" one from the parts store. If you are going to cut the coils too, you are going to get some rubbing on hard bumps.

Kind of like these. Keep trimming until you stop peeling off the wheel weights or ripping the sidewall rubber:

(I also had to grind a tick off one of the lower ball joints, and actually trimmed a bit more after these pics, because it was still rubbing on harder turns.)

Sorry for the late reply but I am running 235 75 15's all around. I have 3 inch drop spindels and I cut a coil and a half in the front. In the rear I used a flip kit and 2 inch shackles

So my 76 project engine and trans bit the dust, first the transmission needed a rebuild then the engine ingested coolant, either heads or gaskets, this is the second time. This time needs an engine rebuild or transplant.
In my search I came across a 74 for a good price. It's still a project (What ones are not). Here it is, I will have to sell the 76 to recoup some. craigslist here it comes ;)

Thank you

It has the McGaughys 5"-7" with 2" lowering shackles in the rear.

Front - 3" lowering spindles and 2" lowering springs
Rear - Flip kit c notch with 2" lowering shackles

The lower control arms had to be grinded a bit to run the rally's with 3" lowering spindles to get the full turn radius back.

I also added 25mm spacers to push the wheels out closer to the fender.

HAHA! Thanks! Use it all you want! LOL. It needs New fuel lines and cab mounts and new front leaf springs and I figured while I am at it I will just do the whole truck since it will be easier to do that stuff with the body off and if the body is off well then you know where that goes next. LOL. I bought the truck when I was 16 and me and my dad re-painted it and did a ton of work on it so most of it is done and just needs cleaned up and painted. the body lift will be coming off and a new 4" lift will be going on and still ride on the 35's. I absolutely HATE the body lift!

I am waiting for us to put a new building up at our shop so I have room to work on it. I will have my own garage just for storing this truck and whatever classic cars and truck I happen to get in the future. I will also have my own spot to work on my vehicles outside of the "museum" lol so no dust or dirt gets in the "museum". The "museum" will also be heated and have a de-humidifier. My uncle will get his own "museum" and work area on the other side of the building for his stuff and then there will be an office in that building for our steel fab shop as well. It is going to be an AWESOME building and I can't wait to get it done. We are going to start on it this winter and hopefully have it done by next spring. I can't wait for it!!!

Best part is this building will be AIR CONDITIONED by a big industrial unit I picked up for free. I actually got two units when they told me to go get one. I figured since I had the big flatbed truck and I could fit the other one on I might as well take it. LOL

Change the front clip to dual headlight or suburban, replace body moulding, and a fresh coat of paint. I'll be happy with that, everything else can be done slowly. The major problem is I can't get the 305 in it working right.

I have a 4.5/6 drop, Dakota digital gauges, energy bushings, and a 6.0L with all the stuff needed for the swap in the garage. They are supposed to be for my 78 stepside, but I have been throwing around the idea of putting it into this one to make it a fun daily and allow me to go wild on the 78. I'm just thinking out loud now.

Sounds awesome dude, and I didn't even notice it was a body lift from the pic, but hell yeah get rid of it lol! You got a jewel though bro. I'm also thinking about getting a garage some years down the line (if i end up making good money lol..). I'm gonna keep my '94 Z71 and thinking about adding an 83-87 K10 and a newer 4 door chevy.. too bad it's expensive as hell!
